PC shutting down due to CPU overheating

Hello,
I come seeking advice because for the first time since I got my PC (2017), it just shut down in the middle of a game due to my CPU overheating. I knew it tended to run hot, but I didn't think it would go this far. So with the 34 degrees outside, it's not helping, but still.

My configuration:
i7 7700K 4.2GHz
Gigabyte RTX 3080 (since January)
Be Quiet! Pure Power 10, 700W
Noctua NH-U12S
2x16GB RAM 3200MHz
SSD NVMe PCIe Express (I specify this because I understand it can get quite hot)

So now I'm hesitant to launch games for fear of damaging my components.
My question is:
- Is it better to get an Evo kit to change the CPU/motherboard/cooling, etc., which couldn't come at a worse time financially :(

- Or should I opt for a more powerful cooler, maybe water cooling?
- Or is there another solution?
I'm attaching a screenshot of the BIOS upon restart with the error message.
Thanks

Hi,
Your CPU cooler is already very good, investing in a better one is pointless, especially considering your CPU is not one of the hottest out there.
You might not have mentioned it because it seems obvious, but you never know: have you tried putting new thermal paste? That's the first thing to do.
