Hello everyone,
In my new role, I need to use pivot charts (PC). I would like to duplicate some of them, but the problem is that if I copy/paste a pivot chart and modify certain fields (to have the same chart but change 1 filter for example), it will also change the same field of my original PC.
I searched online but with no success (I found the answer below on CCM too but I don't understand the given solution and since there was no response, I don't know if it works).
Can someone help me (and spare me from having to redo pivot charts from scratch)?
Thanks a lot anyway
Jean

Hi,
I understand very well what you are talking about and I solved the problem by selecting only the chart area of the pivot chart (PC) and saving it as a template. Then, you take only the data part that you copy & paste where you want to create your new PC and then you just have to select the newly pasted table and create a new chart by calling the previously saved template. This way, you have created a new PC that is not linked to the previous ones, allowing you to keep all the settings of your table data without having to rebuild it every time, thus avoiding the risk of errors that may arise. The process is quite quick and you can quickly multiply the number of non-linked PCs within the same sheet, all having the same data source.
I hope this will solve the issue. Best regards.

Hello Jean.
I'm not going to solve your problem...
I just want to know why you want to do this: "If I copy/paste a pivot chart and modify some fields (to have the same chart but changing one filter for example)", when precisely the filters are there to display different variations of the chart in the same location.
If it's to create a report where distinct charts are needed, you could use screenshots, but you would end up with static images that wouldn't update if the data changes.
It's a pity you didn't attach your Excel file, or a sample file, so we could do testing and trials.

1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/
2) Click on [Browse] to select your file (max 15 Mo)
3) Scroll down to click on the blue button [Create Cjoint link]
4) After a few seconds, the second page will appear, with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy link"
5) Go back to your discussion on CCM, and in your message, do "Paste".
