Hello.
Finding only a few realistic and sincere reviews about Nordnet's latest Neosat offer regarding the next-generation Konnect satellite internet, I would like to hear from one or more subscribers to this service.
Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
Voilà what I sent to Nordnet, without any reply from them

I was on a Supernova offer that worked very well. I switched to a Neosat offer for the price and speed. Upon receiving the equipment, everything was fine; on Sunday, I got to work, with a perfectly horizontal and vertical mast mounted on the facade. I pulled the cable (6 meters). I mounted the satellite dish and the LNB head, connected the modem and the head. I powered it on, waited for the modem to start, and connected to the modem via my smartphone for alignment. That's when the problems started; I couldn't exceed a SQF of 17, 20 max. I redid the F connectors on the modem and the head, tried again, same result if not worse. I’m 60 years old and hold a BTS in electrotechnical engineering, a profession I’ve practiced for 40 years, just to say that I’m not just a weekend handyman. I doubt the equipment, modem or head. On Monday, August 16, I called 3420, and after several dozen minutes of waiting, they doubted my abilities but never the equipment. After several calls, at least 3 hours of waiting included, they eventually asked me for photos of the installation and the F connectors. On Tuesday, I called back because I hadn’t heard anything, and they told me they would send me another modem and another LNB head. On Thursday, August 19, I received the new equipment, which I installed immediately. It’s better; I managed to get a max SQF of 80, but not on Beam 216, but on 226. I validated, registered, and tested. Surprise, download speed 44 Mb, upload speed 300 Kb, which is very low. The next day, no internet, readjusting, but to no avail; it works then disconnects. I don’t know what to think; this equipment is not tested, you send us an absolutely unreliable and untested product, and today, Saturday the 21st, nothing is functioning properly anymore. I deeply regret Supernova.

As of today, the problem persists, nothing is resolved.

    Good evening

Thank you for your feedback, and it confirms the information I've gathered over the past few months in every way: very poor bandwidth, questionable performance equipment, and above all, total disregard from Nordnet, which leaves subscribers in their predicament without any commercial solution. So I can't even imagine the struggle of those who signed a two-year subscription for Neosat.
As for me, given the information I have gathered, I did not succumb to the lure of Nordnet's Neosat offer.
In the extensive research I conducted to achieve better speeds than basic ADSL, I found out that there were 5G antennas from Free Mobile near my home, so I purchased a Huawei 5G box and subscribed to the Free Mobile 5G plan, and honestly, I do not regret my choice and my purchase.
I hope all this information in this discussion will help others make a good choice and avoid the Nordnet mess.
      Catch you later.

Alright for fiber, but not everyone has the chance to have it, and despite the good resolutions of our government wanting to fiber us all in the near future, what do we do in the meantime if we only have a lousy ADSL? Fiber in my region is not expected before 2023 according to forecasts, and those are just forecasts.
      .
And to have switched to 4G 4 or 5 years ago, its speed has dropped from 60 Mbps at the beginning to barely 10 Mbps today. Finally, regarding the 4G antennas near my home, all this because nowadays, everyone has a 4G plan and the operators haven't increased their capacity to handle so many connections on some of their antennas everywhere. This means that the speed drops so much at certain times that I'm almost having less 4G speed than my ADSL connection.
      .
For now, my hope lies in Free's 5G, admittedly not the best according to some experts, but for now, it works very well, and when the other operators will be concrete in the countryside because in cities, there's almost nothing except Paris, of course, but the other cities have nothing, so I wouldn't even dare to talk about the countryside. We'll see what happens in a few years, but in the meantime, I believe fiber will have arrived in my village, at least I hope so.

The real 5G doesn't exist yet in France, or in Europe, I think.
      Look for 5G standalone.
      So,
for the moment, what shows up as 5G is actually the 4G network with 5G antennas.
Especially since Free is cannibalizing its 4G network to display 5G (fortunately for free, but only for compatible devices), as they are using their 700 MHz band for both networks, while others do not—they have 800 MHz frequencies for 4G.

You say that 5G doesn't exist in France?
Certainly it is still very sparsely deployed, but as someone who travels a lot both in France and abroad and who has the necessary devices to receive both systems, I can assure you that there is indeed 5G in France and I do not rely solely on the 5G logo that appears, I conduct speed tests whenever I have the opportunity to do so.
And given the speeds I get from the antennas near my home, both in 4G and in 5G from Free, I see a significant difference in speed between the two systems. Sure, we are not yet at the speeds claimed by the ISPs, but still, with Free's 5G, the speed today is well above the 4G offered by other operators. So we are waiting for the antenna installations and especially the promised improvements, let's be patient, but as of today, I am enjoying good speeds on Free's 5G that are significantly higher than those of 4G. What more can I say? That's all I currently ask for, and if in the future I find another faster solution with another ISP, no problem, I have the equipment, I just need to change SIM cards with a better plan, and of course, it has to work at my home, otherwise I don't see the point.

    Hello,

I just installed a NeoSat satellite dish (2 weeks ago) and the operation is very correct. The speed tests showed up to 95 Mb download and 2.5 Mb upload, on Beam 216 with a SQF of 108.

Located in Savoie, the elevation is high and the sky is clear, I have about 10m of cable and the setup was simple until the alignment, after which I had to redo the identification several times and restart multiple times to get a connection.

    In use:
    - the ping is long, but that's normal, which means the internet is slow to start responding but then really fast.
    - the speed decreases during peak hours, there is still a good download speed, but the upload can drop quite low.

      Hello
I quote "The speed tests showed up to 95 Mb download and 2.5 Mb upload"
Well, that's not great, considering that with 4G+ using a 4G modem box, I get speeds of 100 to 130 Mbps download and 30 to 50 Mbps upload with much better ping.
Maybe you should have used a directional antenna on a 4G or 5G box.

The remark is valid but it ignores the frequent micro white zones in mountainous areas. 4G+ at 1km but nothing at home (even with an outdoor antenna).

I also recommend 4G and 5G approaches when possible.

We also live in a mountainous area with reception issues, and that’s why I initially started this discussion. However, since I received no valid response regarding this Neosat offer, we sought other solutions.
So as of today, with a 4G+ box and a directional antenna, we managed to pick up a mobile signal. It required finding a high point to install the antenna, but since then, everything works wonderfully and is especially much faster than the Neosat offer and significantly cheaper.

We therefore agree that the SAT solution should only be used if nothing else is possible. However, it is quite usable; we'll see if the satellite eventually becomes saturated...

      Hi,
I would be surprised if it’s saturated, logically, there will be less and less people on it, one day only the passing residents on deserted islands will use it.
That's been the point of this discussion from the beginning, between fiber and LTE, internet via satellite, even Starlink doesn't have much of a future.

Thank you, but what I'm looking for are experiences, not information about this offer which I've known for several months and have already scoured the depths of the internet for, but I can't find anything concrete except for bad experiences with the old KA-SAT satellite. However, since then, things have evolved because there is a new satellite that was launched last year and the Neosat offer is recent (from February 2021).

    Hi,
I don't have any information to give you about that, but just wanted to say that you'll certainly find more info on a satellite internet specialized forum or at Ariase than on a general forum like CCM.

    Hello.
As I mentioned before, I have already done a lot of research on this topic elsewhere than on this forum, and I haven't found anything to satisfy my curiosity regarding a potential subscription.
It's precisely because I can't find anything elsewhere that I posted the question here, hoping to find one or more Neosat subscribers who could respond to me.
CCM is not the only place where I've posted my request; I've also done so elsewhere, so I continue my search in the hope of finding some people with this plan.
I've even called Nordnet several times, but apart from saying that they are the best and that they have thousands of subscribers, they are unable to provide you with concrete information, and the answer is often: we cannot answer your questions, you are not subscribed with us!
So you understand. You have to subscribe to then find out that it might not suit you or work the way you want, but there you are, you've committed to a minimum 12-month contract.

I forgot to mention that I contacted several editorial teams weeks ago, such as Les Numériques, 01.net, Ariase, etc., who have made reports on satellite internet, but since the launch last year of the next-generation Konnect satellite, all the information found in those reports is outdated and/or not updated. However, to date, I have received no response and I haven't seen any of those reports updated.

      So,
why would CCM know more than they do?

"in the hope of finding one or more Neosat subscribers who can respond to me."

Even if the chances are slim, nothing prohibits this approach.

OK, apparently no one is using Nordnet's Neosat services, so that doesn't encourage subscribing to it.

      Especially since in 3 years,
there will be very high-speed fiber everywhere; in principle, these services will probably no longer be marketed at all.

Fiber everywhere! I don't think that public authorities will actually install fiber 100% everywhere across the national territory because there are places where it will cost them very, very much.
On various official sites, it is well explained that fiber will be accessible to most residents in France, but it will not be available for 100% of city dwellers, ensuring that fiber cannot be installed everywhere, especially in the mountains (according to various shelters far from all power lines and fiber cables), and that's our case.
And to see internet satellite offers disappear, I absolutely do not believe that. If that were to happen, I don't think the Eutelsat group would have invested so many millions in the construction and launch of their Konnect satellite dedicated to this service in 2020.
But anyway, I have done research with no results on this forum to get information. So I'm moving to another forum, because if you don't try, you don't get anything.

It's certain that it will be more like 99% than 100,
But additionally there will be 4/5G mobile, LTE.
I don't think they will keep satellite stations for a few hundred customers, especially since competing solutions like Starlink are coming, although I don't believe in their longevity around here either.
Do you have electricity from the Enedis network or are you self-sufficient?
If you're not self-sufficient, fiber is certainly possible, it's easier to bring than energy.

    Hello,
my reply is not technical, but commercial. I had received an offer at €39.90/month for up to 10MB/s until September 30th. I needed information from the department that only replied to me on the 30th, and I decided to take the offer on the 30th right away. However, it was over on the evening of the 29th! The offer had changed on the 30th to €59.90.

    Hello,

I’ve had Nordnet geosat installed for 6 months now.

    I’ll be clear and concise.
On paper, it looks great! In reality, the reception is so poor that my 1 Mega SFR subscription works better for downloads.

Because that's where the problem lies, even though the 70 gigs are measured, the flow doesn’t exceed 8kb/s!

I'm experiencing 700 milliseconds of ping!

Moreover, it's impossible to make Wi-Fi calls
    or use Zoom and Teams!

So steer clear! A beautiful scam of which I am the victim.

      Hello,
      I'm getting a 700 millisecond ping!
All geostationary satellite connections (not Starlink) are at the same point: the ping has to travel 144,000 km in space (thankfully at a speed close to that of light) in addition to the distance it covers on the ground.

broken arrival antenna, and their transport partner delivered the package directly to a pickup point twice, wasting an hour and kilometers of driving for nothing... everything is disastrous: dozens of hours wasted on the phone, a phone system that cuts your communication and no one to call you back... I have been billed for two months and it has only been working poorly for barely a week... and for them, everything works! They offer you compensation and then you have to write a letter.... I am forced to talk about it on social media and forums to avoid the scam trap.

      Hello.
Yet with all the negative comments found everywhere on the net, how could you succumb to the siren songs of NordNet Neosat?
For my part, it's by seeing hundreds, even thousands of bad reviews that I didn't subscribe to this offer.

We must not forget that NORDNET is part of the Orange group... and where is their hotline located?
In Morocco, and they tell you that they have efficient tools and that the problem is on your end... frustrating.
