Hello,
I have a problem with my Lexmark x2250 printer. When I try to print, there’s a message on my screen saying the cover is open, but it’s definitely closed. I’ve searched through dozens of sites and forums, but nothing works. I’ve turned it off and on again ten times... I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I only have a black cartridge, so I’m not sure if the issue is related to that. Please, could you help me? I don’t know what else to do,

Good evening and thank you for your attention.

Hello,

Check if the closed hood sensor is not defective.

At the opening of this, at the back and top of this cover, there is a switch that engages when the device is closed.

Good evening,
What about a black cartridge?
Why are there no others to place in this printer?
Some printers refuse to function properly if not all cartridges are installed.
If you repeatedly handle this cover, after disconnecting the printer from the PC and from the 220V power supply, pressing the power button for about fifteen seconds, and then reconnecting everything to try again, what happens?
Regards.

Good evening,
Normally this printer can work with a single cartridge, but after doing what you told me, it still doesn’t work. When I try to print, the message appears immediately and I reopen it, close it, press continue but the message reappears.

Hello,
It is likely that there is a technical failure; I don’t see what else it could be!
It's also possible that the hood closure contact switch itself is faulty, and aside from replacing it, I can't think of anything else either!
In my opinion, you should perhaps take your machine to a technician to explain the issues and ask if he is able to perform a repair. If it's indeed a technical problem, you'll just keep going in circles without being able to fix it!
Best regards.

Hello,

I'm coming back to this post because I just remembered that on a friend's PC it showed "lid open" for my printer, and on my PC it works without any issues, so it's probably a communication error between the PC and the printer, but I don't know how to resolve this problem.

My printer is an HP Professional type
