Hello,

After extensive and fruitless searches on the web, I’m here to ask for help. Simple question: how do I completely disassemble the printer cover to gain full access to the print head rest area?

I have the infamous error 6A00 and despite all my cleaning efforts (as indicated elsewhere), I’ve only managed to hurt my hand due to the difficult access!

So thank you in advance for any proposed solution :-)

    Hello
I've dismantled several Canon printers; it requires patience, and you're sure you don't have a print head issue, which happens quite often, and the price of a head is almost that of a new printer
or is it to clean the ink that remains in the tray because when you've changed the cartridges several times, you risk having ink leak if you move the printer
I had the same issue with a print head that was defective
so I opted for a printer with two heads because when you change the cartridge, the head is included
and your paper either goes through or gets stuck
    Best regards

Hello and thank you for your response.
No, there is no problem with the print head: I just need to access the "rest" location of the block correctly, that's why I'm asking how to fully open the lid. I can believe it's a matter of patience, but ... how to do it???
