Hello community, I'm really troubled, my EBP Building software version 2018 no longer works.
It starts by displaying an error on the XML file: C:\Users\utilisateur1\AppData\Local\Ebp\Building10.0FR10\HostOptions.xml
Below it says XmlException: Root element missing.
Then in the next window
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at EBP.Framework.Windows.Host.WinHost.UpdateActiveForm()
at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmActivate(Message&m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message&m)
at DevExpress.XtraEditors.XtraForm.WndProc(Message& msg)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Debuggablecallback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr Iparam)

If anyone can help me, I feel completely helpless in front of this gibberish (for me)
EBP kindly offered to charge me 500 euros for the update with support, but I'm not able to pay such an amount...

Thank you in advance for your attention to my problem.

It seems that the software is unable to access some data...
Check the health of your disk with CrystalDisk

If you receive a warning or worse, reinstall your software on a new disk and restore a backup..

Hello, thank you for the advice. I just checked, and no information about precautions, or worse, has been communicated to me.
Do you have another idea of where the problem might be coming from?

        Another hypothesis.
It seems to me that the "building" version relies on a professional file for prices that are communicated by an interprofessional organization and made available on EBP servers..
Perhaps your version is too old to access it...

If you have another computer, reinstall, restore a backup, and see if it works again..

Also check if you have a database repair tool...

I can't tell you much more, construction software is a bit special...
