Hello, I'm having trouble installing packages, I've tried everything, especially the basic ones.

Sudo apt-get install network-manager

Sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome

And I get an error message
E: Package "network-manager" has no installable version

Or when I try to install wicd

E: Unable to locate package wicd

Configuration: iPhone / Safari 14.1

    Hello,
    1 - First, do:
    sudo apt update

2 - network-manager is installed by default in Ubuntu.

2 - If you install wicd, you need to uninstall network-manager because the two are incompatible. Download the necessary packages for wicd beforehand as you will lose internet connection.

Personally, I don't see the point of installing wicd because network manager works very well.

Okay, thanks a lot for your response, I'll do that, and no, the Network Manager doesn't work to use the Wi-Fi, it tells me that it detects nothing.

And when I want to install wicd, I can't do it; I don't have internet on my PC, which is an additional problem.

If you don't have internet, it's not possible to install anything.
Connect to your box with an Ethernet cable.
