Impress: how to erase the pencil?

Hello dear members of commentÇaMarche

I created an anthology slideshow (or not),
then I wanted to change the cursor's appearance. In the options, I discovered the "pencil pointer," and then its feature that allows you to write on the slideshow while it's running. Not bad but...

It’s impossible to erase the mess I made afterward.

When I "undo," I go back to previous manipulations of my slides,
and the right-click during the slideshow with "erase all pen marks on the slideshow" only works temporarily: when I restart the slideshow the next time, it’s the same issue.
I presume there’s a mask that manages the pencil, and getting rid of it could solve my problem, but I haven’t had any luck so far...

Do you have a solution regarding this? The internet isn't very helpful on this, and given the time spent creating my slideshow, I admit it weighs on me to have to start over...
I am on LibreOffice v7.0.4.2

Thank you in advance for your insights

Problem solved by exiting the slideshow:

The pencil drawing corresponds to the layout on the slideshow of a set of points. By clicking on a pencil stroke, I thus select ONE point among the multitude of points that make up my line. As a result, it is impossible to erase my line with a single click.
Moreover, beneath many of my points were images and other elements, making it complicated to select things properly.

Ultimately, by starting my selection click outside the table and gradually moving towards areas of the pencil stroke, I was able to get back on track.
It's worth noting that some animations were affected (due to the deletion of certain images), so I had to reset a few animations.

Conclusion: if you have slides loaded with animations, don't even think for a second about using the pencil to comment on your slides. Otherwise, it will be a "single-use" slideshow.

    Hello,

Personally, I have never seen the pencil remain after leaving the slideshow (unlike PowerPoint where you have the option).

But in reality, this is a bug:
    https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122274
    https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129898

which only exists when the pencil pointer is selected before starting the slideshow, and not during.

Unfortunately, I don’t really see any solution until the bug is fixed.

    For arscy

Backups are very useful to avoid one-time use slideshows

    Hello,

    The documentation on Impress: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/c/cb/IG3609FR-Diaporamas.pdf
Pointer pencil pages 5 and 19
    • Pointer pencil: allows you to write on the slide during the presentation. Nothing remains of this writing when you exit the slideshow. At this point, the color of the pencil or pen cannot be changed (see the section "Navigating using the context menu obtained by right-clicking," page 19).

Thank you for this feedback on the notice, but no matter what the wiki documentation says,
as I mentioned earlier, the problem persisted with each new restart of the slideshow.
Even when I left and reopened the file, the lines were still there.
For whom and why, I don't know, but I found a way to fix the problem and that's what matters.
