Hello,
I have tried to download El Capitaine, I thought that it was necessary to follow each time the version which follows (10.7 / 10.8 ..) But I will try.
https://filesvilla.com/macos-x-el-capitan-download/
The capacity of my iMac is 500gb and there is 300gb of memory available. So on this level, I have no worries.
So let's go to El Capitaine.

Hi,
It's not necessary to install all intermediate release: you can go directly from 10.6.8 (it's the minimum you must have on your computer) to El Capitan 10.11
The best way to get an official MacOS release is to go to the Apple site ( https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT211683) and it's free !
This is the direct link to El Capitan image disk : http://updates-http.cdn-apple.com/2019/cert/061-41424-20191024-218af9ec-cf50-4516-9011-228c78eda3d2/InstallMacOSX.dmg
Download it from your Mac and let the install process do its job.
