My PC won't turn on. No lights, no sound.

Hello, my computer won't turn on. When I plug the charger into the laptop, there's no orange light on the PC. I've tried with another charger and nothing works.

Every time I started it, I always got a message indicating that the battery was low. But that didn't prevent me from being able to use it. But now since yesterday the PC doesn't want to turn on at all. I've tried the technique of removing the battery, holding for 15 to 30 seconds, etc. But it doesn't work.

Any ideas? Please, I need help as soon as possible.

    if you don't have the equipment to measure the output voltage of the chargers
    we can't guess if it should charge

    the battery has clearly been dead for a while, the Lazarus effect does not apply

    With a dead battery, the laptop connected to the power supply should still work.
    You specify this:

    Is the charger in question identical to the original one?
    As mentioned by Redbart, whom I greet, ideally you should have a multimeter to test the charger beforehand; if you have nothing coming out when connected to the power, it’s normal that you can't use your laptop if the battery is dead.

      I tried the same model and as I mentioned in my message, no results.

      As I don't know much about computers, what is a dead battery?

      Basically, when I plug the charger into the laptop, it doesn't emit any light (while normally it emits an orange light indicating that it is properly connected and functioning). So I think there's probably an issue with the laptop. Probably with the motherboard or some disconnection somewhere.

      Otherwise, my battery doesn't overheat at all (a little).

      In the event that the charger is functioning but nothing lights up on the PC, it is indeed the PC that is the cause of the problem.
      To be sure that the issues are with the PC, you should first test the charger to potentially rule it out if it is operational.

      I tested the charger on another PC of the same model (not exactly) and it works. On the one where I'm having the problem, no result.

      So it's probably a problem with the PC itself, what do you think? Do you believe it's likely a hardware issue or a disconnection (even though I've never opened my computer)?

      In that case, if the charger works, it might be worth starting by checking the connection of the charger's plug in the laptop's female socket, where the cable plugs in, in short.
      Sometimes this connection can be faulty and may need to be unsoldered to be replaced.
      This is just a suggestion; the problem could also be elsewhere!
      But if the laptop is the issue, it will probably need to be disassembled.
      And what laptop is this?

      Sorry for the delay in my response. I was also thinking that the issue might be with the female socket of the PC, but I'm not completely sure.

      To check, what should I do? Clean the female socket or replace it completely?
