Your television does not have a headphone (analog) output; the only audio output present is a digital optical output (Digital audio Out) on the side of the TV (optical jack).
What are the specifications (Brand and model) of your headphones so that I can find a digital optical to headphone audio input converter?

My headset is basic, no brand identified. If I understand correctly, I need to buy an optical to analog converter for the headset.

I have a Phonak TV link that worked wirelessly before my visit to the audiologist. He reduced the TV input to my hearing aids by 5 decibels. When I got home, there was no sound from the TV. My hearing aids work well with the iPad.
I tried connecting the TV link directly with an optical cable, still nothing
I suspect that the TV option on my hearing aids is either not activated or too reduced.

When you say basic headset... should I understand that it connects via a 3.5mm jack

Did you correctly select the optical input on the Phonak?
There is likely a setting in the Sound or Audio menu of the TV to activate the optical output.
And there is generally an option in the Audio output format to select PCM
I can't find any information on these points in the English manual.

if yes, it has no audio output... it cannot therefore be used to connect the headphones...
Where was your Phonak base connected??? before?
If we need to be able to connect two devices (headphones and Phonak) to the optical output of the television, we need a Digital to Analog Optical converter of this type
- If the headphones do not have a volume control, a model with volume control
