Bonjour,
I installed Ubuntu in dual boot with Windows 10 five years ago, and it's been a while since I last accessed it. When I returned, I tried to upgrade to the next version via update, but I made a mistake. Since then, when I try to access it, I see a black screen with some lines of code. I was wondering how to reinstall Ubuntu by replacing the previous partition with the new one or how to repair it. I want to clarify that my data on Ubuntu is not important. When I go to disk management in Windows: I have a 1000 MB recovery partition; a 260 MB EFI system partition; a 1000 MB OEM partition; 457.49 GB ntfs Windows8_os (C:); a 429.43 GB primary partition; a 3.90 GB primary partition; 25 GB ntfs Lenovo (D:); and a 13.37 GB recovery partition. Do I need to delete the old partition data first to reinstall Ubuntu? I already have a bootable USB drive with the ISO. Could you please tell me how to proceed step by step?
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 84.0

Good evening,
Anyway, when installing the Ubuntu ISO, it will ask to format the partition!
