Hello,
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 17 3793 laptop. A few days ago, the PC crashed and displayed a blue screen, indicating that the computer would restart. However, it never restarted normally. Not wanting to lose my data, I asked my boyfriend to dismantle my PC so I could retrieve my files from the internal hard drive. Once the hard drive was reassembled into my PC, it displayed this message on startup:
"No bootable devices found"
Can you tell me more about this message and if there is anything I can do before I resign myself to taking my computer to a repair shop?
Thank you for your help.

Hello
the BIOS does not find a bootable device
either the friend made a mistake or the hard drive is not connected to the original port

Mark as resolved if your problem has been solved. I use the familiar form with everyone. -
It must be connected to exactly the same SATA port as before
Isn't the hard drive dead? It is impossible to ascertain, it may have faults causing issues at such a young age
A poorly managed Windows update may have caused this crash
The state of the HDD can be checked with CrystalDiskInfo by replacing it in a functional PC
