Hello,
I can't connect to the smart TV menu.

Back in December, it was working perfectly, but for about a week now: nothing at all.

The error message is: the requested page is no longer available. Please try again later.

There are also the messages:
- unable to complete secure transaction
- secure connection: fatal error (48).

TV model 32 pfl 3258h/12; serial: fz2a134102984z

I've checked the forums and for the past 2 days, I've tried everything: latest software, updates, unplugging and plugging back in, etc., etc. .... I'm connected via Ethernet and it shows that the connection is well established (but how to verify...)

I also called Philips support who told me to reach out to an authorized repairer.
In short, nothing positive.

Looking at the forum exchanges from 2014-2015 where the mentioned error messages appeared, the conclusion back then was: smart TV server unavailable.

Today, I think the same thing, but Philips support won't confirm and do they even check?

If anyone has an idea, I'm all ears.

Have a good evening

Hello, thank you Glandu for your help.

I went to the Philips support site and followed the steps to completely reset my Philips TV 32 PFL 3258H/12.

By the way, for this model, it is only possible to make a wired connection.

In fact, after these different manipulations, I can't tell:

      1- if it's my TV that's malfunctioning
2- if it's the "smart TV" server that's not working.

I would like to know exactly what this error message means:

      Unable to complete secure transaction
      and
      secure connection: fatal error (48)

(I wanted to insert a photo of the error message, but it's impossible)

That's where I stand. If you have encountered this problem before.

      Thank you

Hello, I'm in a bad position to discuss this, my TV is not smart. Have you tested it with a wired RJ45 connection, either on your TV or on a decoder if you have an Internet service provider?
You would have the same options. Have you contacted your internet provider?
One thing I read is that when you buy your TV, they offer you Smart TV and its imposed and limited content depending on the brands.

    Good evening,

When I purchased this TV (6-7 years ago), I don't remember being informed about the imposed and limited content (I didn't find anything in the documents I've kept).

Yes, my Philips smart TV is connected to my Freebox via a wired RJ45 connection.

My box is a Freebox HD (the €35/month model, the cheapest, and I've had it for about 15 years).

Unlike newer Freeboxes, it does not allow me direct access to Netflix, ARTE.TV, France TV, and many other apps.

In fact, at the beginning of the confinement, I only started to explore my TV's capabilities and realized that through SMART TV, I could mainly access ARTE.TV and FRANCE TV. I also saw that I could access Netflix, and it was only in December that I was given a 6-month subscription to Netflix (conclusion, I only took advantage of it for a month...).

That's why I've arrived at this situation.

There is a solution: change Freebox and switch to a higher plan.

Well, what frustrates me is that I would have liked at least a message warning that the service would be interrupted, because that's indeed the case, either on the TV and SMART TV side or the NETTV server.

I contacted Philips support, and they just keep going around in circles with their updates, plugging/unplugging, setting the time, etc... when it’s pointless. Either their support team is incompetent, or they have specific instructions, and I would lean towards the latter.

Moreover, I did some research online, and for a few days now, several messages related to this problem have been posted by Brazilians.

According to the error message: the address we are trying to reach is invalid (https://nettv.corio.com/BluePortServlets/BluePortHome) and the message also indicates: the present certificate has an unknown certificate

So, I would lean more towards a shutdown of the NETTV service.

    I will continue my investigations.

Thank you for your patience in reading until the end. If this can help others in the same situation.

    Have a good evening.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I found in two clicks the information I had read well.

The content war on televisions has begun. Smart TVs were in the spotlight at the Las Vegas show, the Consumer Electronic Show (CES). Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sharp... not a single manufacturer is missing from the call. All are betting on connected televisions and the convergence between different devices, with the living room screen serving as a gateway to entertainment.

But in this battlefield, the competition is tough. Manufacturers must face operators who are well established through their set-top boxes, thus offering their users a whole range of services: catch-up, VOD, internet access, social networks, video games... In France, 9.6 million households were equipped in the third quarter of 2012 with a TV decoder provided by a telecom operator, according to a study by Médiamétrie-GFK.

Video game console manufacturers are not to be left out either. Like the Xbox 360 and PS3. Microsoft and Sony also offer a complete package of content via their console, which they also see as an entertainment hub at the heart of the living room.
      Best regards, Bernard
