Hello everyone!

I just installed xfburn to burn photos onto a DVD.
I managed to create a "burn list" but when I launch the burn I get a message:
"device not accessible (in use?)
The device is (by default): PLDS DVD-RW DA8A6SH
I must have missed something...
Thanks for your help
Have a good evening!

Configuration: Linux / Firefox 84.0

    Hello,
Since Xfburn is installed, I think you are using Xubuntu. In that case, you should install the xubuntu-restricted-extras package which will download additional packages.
    Then try again.

If the problem persists, check that the gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 package is installed.

    Hi,

    Are you really running Xubuntu?
Try removing the CD/DVD and restart xfburn and see if that changes anything…

Otherwise try installing k3b as a replacement for xfburn.

      sorry zipe 31 and FTF_furious!
I didn't understand the message "please don't delete your post" what have I done again to deserve this "Fatwa"?
      Well I'm kidding, but I didn't understand!
as for xburn, you're right zipe31 I'm not on xbuntu but on gnome...I think, I installed xfburn by chance. so I will follow tees advice and try k3b. Indeed dismantling CD/DVD took me a long time and lots of attempts.
Thank you for your help to both of you and...best wishes and above all good health, I think it's appropriate!

I didn’t understand the message "please do not delete your post"; what have I done again to deserve this "Fatwa"? Just kidding, but I didn’t get it! That reflection wasn’t meant for you. It was addressed to FTF_Furious, who, following my remarks on the post "2", had deleted his message. The message was restored, but he repeated the act, hence my other warning. Sorry for the confusion.

    Hi zipe31,

I checked your post to kristof33 and I entered the command line you gave him to know my CD/DVD drive: it’s a DVD-RAM writer.

So I probably don’t need to install a new CD/DVD writer?

I think I’m just messing up with how I’m using my reader/writer?

    I’m using VLC

    What do you think?

    Thanks again!

No problem zipe31, I understood afterwards when looking at his post!
Happy New Year and thanks for your help: I’m currently studying VLC’s help and I’ll see if VLC allows me to burn photos onto a CD/DVD

VLC for burning an audio CD, yes, but for photos, I don’t think so ;-(
