Outlook password storage

Hello,

Every time I open Outlook 2019 (not 365), I have to enter my account passwords.

It's checked to be remembered.

I've recreated the accounts.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2019 and even repaired it.

SFC on Windows 10.

The problem persists.
Any idea to reset the area that stores the passwords???

Does anyone have a lead?

Thank you for your help.

Olivier

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 86.0.4240.198

    Hello
The passwords for Outlook 2016/2019 are stored in the registry.
Open with Regedit.exe (included in Windows) the settings:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Profiles\Outlook]
It's not easy to figure out because it's encoded!!
You delete everything, close it, and in Outlook recreate the accounts one by one, taking care to choose the current PST as the data file.

    A+

In case of issues, create a new profile in "the control panel" and delete the old one

    Good evening,
I'm sorry but the issue is not resolved.
I went through the steps and the initial problem keeps coming back.
    - I deleted the profile and created a new one with a different name, then the email accounts.
    - Deleted in Regedit as you mentioned (then, we create a profile and the accounts again).
    - Deleted in Regedit as you mentioned
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Profiles\Outlook]
even \Profiles\ (a bit higher up)
BUT after 3 or 4 openings of Outlook, I still get this window asking for the password...
Since I have 8 email accounts, ... pfffff - at least I know them by heart!

If you have a new lead to help me
    Thank you
    Olivier

    Hello
    Sorry for the delay...

Maybe the server "delay" is too short, or the internet access is slow.
I don't see many other issues.
The delay can be adjusted for each account through "additional settings" in "the control panel"

We can set it to the maximum without risk... But 3 minutes should be enough.
    To be tested.
    See you later
