Gigaset AS470H Cordless Handset AS470A

Hello,
I have a Gigaset AS470H phone with a AS470A handset. The battery doesn’t last, I thought it was due to the batteries and after changing them, it’s still the same. I put it on the base to charge and when it’s charged, I make a call and right away it discharges (white screen), but despite that I can talk for about 5 minutes and the battery discharges again. What should I do? Thank you

    I don’t have rechargeable batteries, but they are new and well placed. No button is stuck. The base is properly powered, with the light on, and when I put the phone on charge, I can hear the beep. The phone charges more slowly than usual. When it is charged and I make a call, there is a beep and the screen indicates low battery, but I can still talk for about 4 minutes before it cuts off, and I have to put it on charge again.

      No rechargeable batteries, just regular batteries...
      You're living dangerously... Placing regular batteries on a charger can cause them to explode and even start a fire.
      Excerpt from the notice on page 4:

      So... remove the handset from the charger immediately... and tomorrow buy the appropriate rechargeable batteries.
      Then we’ll see if the problem persists or not.

    The handset is AS470h and the phone is AS470A...
    That said, if you have new rechargeable batteries (they need to be NiMH; size: AAA (Micro, HR03); voltage: 1.2 V; capacity: from 450 to 1000 mAh), well charged, the handset probably has an issue...
    Check that no button is stuck
    I assume the base is properly powered, with the light on if the answering machine is on.
    Make sure that when you place the handset on the base, there is a characteristic beep.

    Still, try to unplug everything... and remove the batteries from the handset...
    wait a good minute, and put everything back in place... (be careful with the battery polarities, they must be inverted).

    These are 2 batteries that I replaced in the phone and not in the base. I think that's what you understood correctly.

      The dock is powered solely by electricity.
      No batteries or accumulators.
      So yes, I understand correctly that it is indeed the two batteries you have installed that could explode at any moment when the handset is placed back on the dock to charge.

    Ok thanks, I’m going to buy rechargeable batteries, and in the meantime, I’ve taken the phone off the base.
