Hello, I have a motherboard from the manufacturer LENOVO because my PC is a Lenovo Y50T. Here are my components:
Processor: Intel Core i5 7400 clocked at 3 GHz
Motherboard: LENOVO 36D9 SDK0J40700 WIN 3258091785562
Chipset: Northbridge: Intel Kaby Lake
Memory: 24 GB of total memory type DDR4 at 2.4 GHz (1.2x2 GHz)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
I would like to know if my motherboard is compatible with the components I want to buy, namely a GTX 1080Ti, an Intel Core i9 (or something similar). If not, if you know a way to check this in the future by myself, please let me know :) Thank you very much for your answers!

Hello,
Could you point out a bad model? I'm coming across a laptop with these references.
If it's a desktop:
In principle, with a GTX 1050ti originally, it might be possible to install a more recent one like a GTX 1650 or the future RTX 3050 if it exists.
Installing a higher-end graphics card often requires changing the power supply or even the case (tower).
With a generic motherboard, I'm not sure you can install an i9, especially if it's not an Intel Core of the same generation. You should check if Lenovo provides a compatibility list.

Hello, the model name is "Lenovo Legion Y520T-25IKL ES-TFR", it's a tower that I have, sorry I made a mistake x) I think I should change my motherboard, so I will have to reinstall it, right since I have it in OEM? And will I need to reinstall anything other than Windows? For example, could I keep my hard drives or does it depend on the motherboard I choose? Thanks again :)
