Canon FC120 copier malfunctioning

No problèmo -
 jimmy -
Hello, To be more precise in my request: After turning on the photocopier, I start a copy (1 printed sheet on the glass and 1 blank in the tray). The exposure glass moves to the left, at the same moment the blank sheet engages in the copier by about 6 cm and stops, the exposure glass also stops just before the light ramp turns on. At that moment, the copier displays an error message "E" and powers off.
- The exposure glass can move freely in both directions.
- The toner cartridge is new.
- There is no belt but only gears inside.
- All rollers are clean.
- There is no paper jam.
- The light ramp operates by manually triggering the system.
Here, I hope I have been precise enough in my explanation.
Waiting to hear from you, thank you and see you soon.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Good evening, normally with a photocopier you have a manual where the error reports are mentioned in the form of a letter with the explanation that follows, in your case E. ^^

The CANON FC120 photocopier is a standalone portable copier; it does not need a computer to operate.

Good evening, if I refer to the manual:
DISPLAY: " E " and the power is interrupted.
POSSIBLE CAUSE: An incident has occurred.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Unplug the copier and contact an authorized CANON service center.

They don’t go into detail too much at CANON in the manual. LOL
No, seriously I need it quickly!
    Thank you.

P..ain... Try to uninstall everything and then reinstall everything. Be sure to install the CD BEFORE plugging in the printer. If it doesn’t work, you’ll have to see the retailer, unfortunately. Sorry. ^^

    Hello,
I have a Canon IR2016 photocopier, in good condition, but when I use the side tray located on the left lid, it only makes one copy, then it beeps twice, and the LCD screen displays the message "paper jam". When I turn it off and restart it, it repeats the same scenario. Can I get a solution to my problem?

    Hello

To inform you about the problem with your copier, I only use Canon Pixma printers; Multipass & also a FC 230 which had the same problems as you, and this problem is due to a grounding issue, but after having it serviced at Canon's after-sales service, the problem could not be resolved.
So I gave up on having it repaired a 3rd time & I bought a FC 120 for €257 which uses the same toner.
I advise you to have it exchanged because you will always be worried.

Hello olive 72, while reading your reply about the FC 120, I saw that you had an FC 230 out of service because irreparable. Do you still own it? Because if you do and you’re not keeping it, I need parts for mine. I await your reply. Thank you
