Canon GP160 Copier

Hello,

My GP160 CANON A3, A4 photocopier, purchased in 2000, has seen little use. However, without any numbered error message, there is a recurring jam at the back. This problem has persisted since 2006, and the technician who came on site did not resolve the issue.

The jam occurs regardless of the cassette orientation. I schedule a photocopy. I press the green button. The photocopy goes normally. But the machine does not stop, and a new sheet engages then gets stuck between the rollers perpendicularly, causing a type 2 jam. In summary, the copy is made without issue, but the machine attempts to make an unwanted second copy, a sheet engages and jams (does not pass through the rollers). This phenomenon does not occur when I use the bypass.
In my opinion, some electronic adjustment is needed. For this, a diagram of the mechanism is essential.
Does anyone have a solution? Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows 98 Internet Explorer 6.0

Good evening, is your CANON GP160 photocopier equipped with a network card?
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind regards.

I would like to confirm my response, unsure if it was sent.
So, in principle, there is no network card on this photocopier, nor a FAX module.
    Thank you

    Hello edn,
I just bought a second-hand copier gp 160, unfortunately there are no instructions or manual with it, I noted the discussion above, so I would like to have a copy if possible, I can contribute to the costs of course, (and I am in the southwest in 24 just in case).
This copier is equipped with a network card that I would like to take advantage of, but I have never configured a network!

That said, I had the same problem as "leauch",
the solution is that when the machine asks to select the paper size, I did that and launched the copy, it didn’t work, in fact, you must not forget to press the "register" button and then make the copy, that's how it works.

    Thank you

Hello, I have a CANON GP160 printer and I can't seem to use the paper feeder.
When I insert the paper, it asks me to select the format, which is fine, but then it asks me to select the type of paper and I can't seem to do that. Does anyone have a user manual or a solution? Thank you in advance.

      Hello,
Yes, I have the manual for this photocopier, it's a significant volume!
      At your service.
If you give me a contact to assist you

        Thank you,

But perhaps a part alone of the volume can help to understand and solve the problem. It is the manual dealing with the technique. In other words, the section that allows controlling and programming the system's shutdown after photocopying. It is probably an electronic fault.
Could you possibly specify your conditions?

        Good evening,

I like to be spontaneous, unfortunately there is the fax machine manual in the machine. I need to search for the photocopier manual which has not been returned to its place and the person who takes care of this equipment is on leave. I sent them a text message, I have to wait for a response. Once I receive it, I will get back in touch with you. I hope it will be quick.

I called a contact who knows about this type of equipment, I left a message in their voicemail. This is not the ideal time to reach people who are on vacation!

Here is an old phone number 0642702196 to forget afterward; only answer if the caller is identified.

        See you soon.
