Hello,
I bought an H&B HF-250I micro system and I can’t turn off the alarm. The user manual doesn’t detail the functions of the remote control that is supposed to manage the infamous alarm (actually two of them!!). Does anyone have the solution, please??

Hello, I would like to order this micro chain for its quality/price ratio; and the price has just dropped to €49 on amazon.fr
In the meantime, I asked Pixmania if they had a new series without alarm issues??? Here is the response:
Hello Xxx Xxxxx,
Following your message, I'm sorry to inform you that I cannot respond to your request.
Please refer to the product data sheet or contact the manufacturer directly.
Remaining at your complete disposal, please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information
Best regards.
Customer Service
Pixmania.com: High-tech at unbeatable prices, services included
Pixmania is a company of the Fotovista group.
With such information, I have no desire to place an order with them....
The same request was made to Amazon.fr, here is the response.....:
Thank you for contacting Amazon.fr.
We appreciate your email regarding your
item "H&B HF250I".
We need to conduct some research in order to respond to your question.
Our customer service is not located in the same place as our
distribution center, so we are unable to perform manual checks on the products. That is why we have forwarded your request to the relevant department and we will get back to you within 4 working days with additional information.
Thank you for your patience. Thank you for choosing
Amazon.fr.
See you in 4 days if the outcome is more favorable..... -
It's even simpler,
You need to open the mini chain by removing the screws at the back.
Once opened, you need to locate the connector called "CON5"
It is on the edge of the main board (the one that is horizontal from which the outputs to the speakers go).
This connector has 10 ribbon wires, with the first wire being red and the others gray.
You need to cut the 3rd wire counting from the red wire.
This wire corresponds to the buzzer, meaning the source of the shrill sound.
Once cut, you will still have the alarm that will trigger but without producing that very unpleasant shrill sound.
The only drawback of this method is that you no longer have a functional alarm.
Best regards

I also have the same problem!!
Apparently, this issue is present on all these models!
Very annoying!
I am going to return it to CDISCOUNT.
Where did you buy yours? -
Hello,
Same problem for me, my son has to unplug it every night and heaven help him if he forgets: it goes off at midnight (00:00), the default alarm time!
I will try to contact H&B instead of returning the product because this chain is quite good. I will keep you updated. -
spox,
I already tried to contact H&B, or at least the company that distributes H&B products
It is JPF Entertainment (See on the website http://www.hb-direct.com)
They provide a hotline number that indeed sounds very HOT ("Welcome to the site for women over 40!") nothing to do with H&B or JPF!!!!!!
I therefore called the number indicated in Contact: 01 58 81 05 20 and after 20 rings I got a woman who answered saying "Yes?" (not very professional!)
She told me that the site would disappear and that they no longer maintained H&B products and that for customer service I had to check with the seller and that in case of a problem they would refund.
GENIUS!!!
My son also got caught with a wake-up call at midnight!!! (the first night he plugged in the system!) ;-)) -

Thank you very much JayDee, I see that I'm not out of the woods yet...
I bought the chain from Pixmania and I just spent 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer... with no success... €0.34 per minute and nothing indicates that the wait is free... I'll see tomorrow...
Because I suppose the email I just sent to JPF will also go unanswered...
Long live this modern world of fast consumerism with products made in a hurry... -
Hello,
I found the distributor H&B:
Compubox 01.41.21.10.10,
but I can't get in touch with them. -
I managed to contact your number!! The man (very nice) told me that there is nothing to be done and that it's an anomaly with a small batch. You need to request a refund from your supplier (me Pixmania, I ran into a p... at customer service, no other word!!). Fortunately, I kept the packaging...
-
Anyway, more thieves who take us for cash cows. Nice.
I don't have the packaging anymore, so it's going to be tough. -
Having the same issue, I went today to Electro-dépôt where I made my purchase. Having learned about the problem, they have already replaced several mini-chains without knowing if the customers were satisfied.
For my part, Electro-dépôt gave me a standard exchange. Unfortunately, I have the same problem with this new mini-chain.
I will therefore request a return with a refund or a credit.
Question: if this is a problem with a small series, has EVA been made aware of the serial numbers involved (the serial number is located on the back of the mini-chain)? -
Hello again,
I am not aware of the incriminated serial numbers. The contact at Compubox did not tell me more. He has already been quite nice since they are distributors and not resellers and are not supposed to deal with individuals...
Sorry. -
Hello
Electro-dépot took back this micro-system today as I could not be sure that the ones in stock did not have this alarm defect. Given that I had to return twice to them, I was granted a commercial gesture on their part (exchange at no extra cost for a Hyundai micro-system that is €20 more than the H&B: model DM610USB which also includes a DVD video player).
Thank you, Electro-dépot. -
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem, product purchased on Amazon, twice we were woken up at midnight, and it didn't indicate what it was. So at 4 PM, I set the clock to 11:58 PM to see where that thunderous beeping was coming from, and I saw that it was ALARM1 when it rang at 0:00.
Since it can be set like the TIMER, I tested by removing and putting the ALARM1 or ALARM2 indicators individually or together and no, it keeps going off.
I’m not going to return the product out of laziness. Actually, I’m going to do some DIY. I’ll set the ALARM for around 5 PM or 6 PM or even 7 PM, well a time when we’re generally at home, and also put in a plug to unplug the device. That way, by getting into the habit of turning it off, there will be no more hassle. But it’s a shame because it’s actually pretty good. -
Good evening,
same problem.
I bought it on the Amazon website.
I'll try to find an electronic solution before deciding to return it. -
Hi,
I have the same problem too, I've also shifted the alarm to the times when I'm not at home.
If we leave the chain on, obviously it won't trigger the alarm, but it will rack up a huge electricity bill :-s
Can't we flash the firmware like on their DivX players?
Thank you
Mickael
