Hello,
I have my TV connected to my computer, but I have black bars at the top and bottom.
I've tried adjusting the display settings on both the TV and the computer, but nothing works; either I get black bars on the top and bottom or, additionally, on the sides, or the image extends beyond my TV (loss of information).
I am connected via HDMI.

For my TV model:

brand edenwood 54.6 inch 4k (3840*2160)

For my computer:
processor AMD Ryzen 5 3600
graphics card: RX 5700 XT
Windows 10.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 84.0.4147.105

Hello,
What format are the movies encoded in?

Hello Panth33ra,

Actually, the black bars at the top and bottom are still present for movies, internet, games, Windows...

Just so you know, I use VLC and most of the videos are in AVI, some in other formats, but the black bars remain.

Hello, I make films in 16/9 resolution 1920x1080. I do have a margin at the top and bottom that frames the image, creating a panoramic effect. That's how it is now.
What you call format (avi) has nothing to do with it; what matters is the 16/9 ratio and resolution 1920x1080 or 1280x720 in full screen.
There are films in the old ratio called 4/3; there will necessarily be bars on either side of the screen, but not at the top or bottom. By double-clicking on the black area, the taskbars at the top and bottom can disappear, and in their place, at the bottom center, there will be a VLC command window that hides when moving the cursor outside the command area.
If your image exceeds the frame, it means that your computer's graphic resolution does not match the film you are projecting.
On a TV, I don’t think this problem should occur; you need to go into display properties to set your TV to automatic ratio adjustment.
That's all I can provide to help you.
Ps:
Your link for the TV is blocked.

Thank you for your response, you idiot,

Yes, my TV is in 16/9 format (or auto format), but in this specific case my image "overflows" slightly on all 4 sides and I have tried all the resolutions, nothing works.
In fact, either I have an image that's too small with black bars, or my image exceeds.

I think there might be a way to readjust the image, but I don't know how, an option on the PC or through the graphics card, I'm kind of stuck.

Well, I found that the setting on my PC is done directly via the graphics card, scaled quite simply.
Now I know where to look, a pretty simple problem in the end.
