Unsupported High Definition?! Help

Question

Hello,

so here it is, I have a big problem with a TV I just bought from a private seller for my room. It's a LCD TV LE32S86, the seller told me that the TV had HD (I saw it when I went to pick up the screen). However, when I connect an antenna cable for TNT, when I go to, for example, TF1HD it displays: "High definition not supported," even though the screen is HD Ready.

It clearly states "TNT HD" whereas I'm being told otherwise, so what should I do? I took the manual but I'm not very good with it, so I'm having a bit of trouble!
I hope one of you has an idea or a solution to my problem.

PS: To help you, I have an HDMI cable from the Xbox connected to the screen, and it works perfectly via the HDMI cable, whereas without HD, the image couldn't be broadcast normally.

PS2: I live in an apartment, so I have a cable to connect my screen to an outlet in the wall

PS3: I also have a screen in my living room that only receives HD channels via the cable and broadcasts them perfectly.

Good evening!

The TV is HD, but its digital terrestrial tuner is not. There is no logo or brand of HD digital terrestrial television anywhere. The solution is simple: buy a digital terrestrial HD adapter from the store; there are some very good ones for a low price, around €50 and up. It is, in a way, an external HD digital terrestrial tuner, connected to the antenna cable on one side and to the TV via HDMI on the other.

Hello, I will immediately put you at ease: the size of your screen (less than 92 cm) makes having a television classified as (HD TV 1080) with a maximum definition of 1920x1080 unnecessary and even counterproductive. The official label, however, will give you better results with SD broadcasts and movies, which HD screens often destroy by revealing original flaws, while your screen will soften those.
You therefore have a certified HDTV screen with a definition of 1280 or 1440x720.

HDV TELEVISION 1080p OR HDV 720p
Currently, common broadcasts are in SD 720x576, an image of 400,000 pixels. In high definition, there are two resolutions: 720p (1280x720 = one million pixels) and 1080p (1920x1080 = two million pixels). The panel of an HDV (ready) 1280x720 television is capable of displaying 1920x768 thanks to adapted electronic circuits. A 1920x1080p panel provides better image resolution (sharpness), but this is not the only factor to consider; there are also contrast, brightness, response time, and some HDV 720 (ready) models can outperform (full) HDV 1080 for less money, even on 100 cm screens, if the viewing distance of three times the diagonal is respected; the difference is not significant compared to price disparities.
Below 100 cm, 1080 is unnecessary, and even for non-HD broadcasts, the performance of smaller screens is compromised; the pixels of images are softened, making the image look more flattering.

PS: It should be noted that, in any case, recent films and broadcasts with the HD label have a higher production cost because they are created with care in HD quality, and a simple HDTV benefits from this as well.

When comparing Arte and Arte HD, it's quite impressive.
For the mentioned decoder, you need a 2.5" hard drive with an enclosure, connect it to the USB port (the cable is provided with the enclosure).
To simplify, when the device comes out of standby, it powers the USB port and "spins" the hard drive, which means you can schedule a recording during your absence; the hard drive will stop when the decoder goes back into standby.
For audio/video settings via HDMI, set the resolution to 1080i and audio to PCM.
