Hello, as mentioned in the title, I have a network-related problem; it gets stuck at 10 Mbps.
(I don't know how at one point it switched to 100 Mbps)

I would like to set it to 1 Gbps since I have a 1 Gbps fiber connection.
So first, it's not the cable's fault; it works perfectly fine on other computers,
(it's a category 8 cable)

I'm on Windows 10 version 1909.
(I tried to update to 2004 but it gets stuck at 55%, but that's another issue)

For now, I can make do with my Wi-Fi which gives me 40 Mbps, but I would like to take full advantage of my connection which exceeds 100 Mbps.

I have a Predator Helios 300, which is supposed to support Gbps.
My BIOS is up to date, and I think all my drivers are as well.

    Hi,
is it a direct cable to the box?
    what's your network card?

Yes, I connected the cable directly to the box,
for the network card, I'm not sure: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
it says that, I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

      yes, that's it.
try another cable if you can.
also, make sure the card is set to automatic rate negotiation.
and try to stop mixing units, MB/s is not the same as Mbit/s.
if none of this works, you'll need to invest in another network card.

I know very well the difference between the two, don’t worry, the cable is not the problem, even with any cable it still stays at 10 mb, the cable works very well on other computers, yes I am already on the auto-negotiation option, on the other PCs it is detected at 1 gb.
I am on a laptop, do external network cards exist?

yes, gigabit/usb3.0 adapters, it works very well.
      you need usb3.0 for gigabit.

Alright, I will look into it. It still bothers me because it's almost certain that the problem is software-related, since at one point it was set to 100 instead of 10 mb. If you don't have any other ideas, that's fine, I'll do it like that, thanks to you.

    Good evening,
    Since when?
The PC didn't fall, which would have caused damage to your network card?

I don't really know, because I always use Wi-Fi, the PC has no physical problems, no it hasn't fallen.
