Hello everyone. Yes, I also have a big problem with my PSP.

The menu works, I can see my photos, but when I insert my game, the PSP doesn't recognize it.
I did the same with another UMD but it's the same, no game works..

I saw different forums talking about cleaning the lens with a soft cloth, that's what I did but nothing works, it's still not working :(

Could someone please help me?

Hello, I have a big problem with my PSP.
Here is the problem
When I insert a UMD, the PSP makes weird noises. Then the noise stops suddenly. After that, the loading button at the bottom right of the screen animates and the screen displays "disk reading impossible" for all UMDs. Also, the games on the memory stick don't work either because the UMD is not displayed. I hope you can help me and thank you very much.

Hello,
I have a PSP on official firmware. A friend dropped my PSP and now it won't read UMDs :(
When I insert the UMD, the drive spins for a while making a weird noise and then the screen shows "disk read error"... I tried cleaning it with a cotton swab and 70° alcohol but it still doesn't work ^^'

It's not complicated. If your PSP is making a funny noise, you need to take apart the screen, then disconnect the UMD, take apart the UMD case, unscrew the UMD, and then put the gears back in place.
