Hello,
I'm trying to troubleshoot an old EPSON Stylus D68 printer.
I have a Windows 10 PC (up to date).
I have downloaded and installed the SCC Service Utility.
On the installed ssc_serv.exe file, I changed the compatibility settings.
I tried the XP Service Pack 2 and 3 compatibility modes (I saw somewhere that XP is recommended), as well as Windows 98. I enabled administrator mode.
Issue: I can never see the main window of the software that appears, and thus cannot select my printer model, for example.
When I try to see what the window content would be by hovering my mouse over the icon in the taskbar, here’s what appears:
I occasionally received this error message:
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Hal
Configuration: Windows 10

My issue isn't identifying the printer but rather getting the software to run correctly on Windows 10.
At the moment, I don't have access to the main window when I launch it. It minimizes to the taskbar as shown above, and when I click on it, nothing appears on my screen.
You've managed to get it working, which is a good sign...
Do you have any suggestions on what I should do to be able to use it?
Thank you,
Hal
