Hello,
Due to the lockdown, I am forced to use my old Trust 13405 webcam.
I am on Windows 10.
I am unable to update or install a driver. The original operating system is too old.
Is it possible to get it working again?
Thank you for your help.
Steph

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 81.0.4044.122

    Press Windows + R
    Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

Give the hardware ID of the device
Check this --> Find a device's identification number
Post the number in your next message.

    re

I just read this on the manufacturer's website:

    Compatibility

Is this product compatible with Windows 10?

We always try to keep our products functional for as long as possible.

Due to the rapid developments in this sector and the age of certain products, we are sometimes no longer able to maintain products compatible with the frequent release of new operating systems.

Unfortunately, this is the case for this product.

Therefore, no driver is available for Windows 10.

The technology used is no longer compatible with this operating system.

      Okay, that's what I thought.
So I need to buy a webcam ... and since they all come from Asia, it's a lost cause at this time.
      Thanks anyway.

    re

    64 bits.

Was the PC running on another OS before switching to W10?

The drivers on the manufacturer's site stop at W8 --> click here

    See you later

Yes, but the webcam hasn't been used in a long time.
The computer tells me that an administrator is blocking the installation of the driver.
I tried to open it as an administrator and nothing.

    Hello,

    Try this:
Connect the webcam to the PC:
    Windows key + R
Type --> control panel and OK

    Devices and Printers
Click on --> Add a device

Nice try, but we’re back to square one. In the control panel, the webcam is identified as CIF Single Chip and is requesting a driver update. I can't seem to do the update, even from the drivers already installed on the computer.
      Thank you.
