Hello,

I can't display the handles that allow me to manage the rounding of shapes' corners. I've gone through all the display settings and other parameters... the only thing I find is "Effect > Convert to... > Rounded Rectangle," and here I can enter a value for the "radius."

In many tutorials, I hear about displaying "dynamic corner guides," but I can't find it on my end... is it because my version is too old for this feature? I don't think so...

I don't like Illustrator and its logic...!
The control handles are associated with the pen tool...
If you select the tool, it has several functions that are available if you hold the mouse cursor over the icon.
The anchor point conversion tool allows you to change a corner point to a curve point.

Thank you for your response, but I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I have seen many tutorials that show that after creating a "rounded rectangle," when selecting it using the "selection tool" (or direct selection according to other tutorials...but I've tried both), dynamic corner radius handles appear at each corner of the rectangle.

This function exists only from the creation of predefined shapes, and there is never any reference to the pen tool.

See an example of a tutorial that shows this as well as the method for managing the radius value in the effects options (without the handles).

Yes, I see..
Except that in the video, he uses the CC version...!! (it's indicated in the window bar of Illustrator at the top left)
In the CS6 version, the menus are not the same and it is quite possible that commands were added in the CC....

Indeed, the title of the video indicates the use of the CS6 version, but that is not the case, as you rightly pointed out... and I haven't found a counterexample. It seems that this is indeed a new feature starting from the CC version.
However, with further research, I found an alternative that works for me.
In case some were not aware and it could be useful...
Create a rounded rectangle and then without releasing, use the UP and DOWN arrows to vary the corner radius.
