AEGISUB: how to convert an ass file to srt file?

Hello,

How can I save a file with the .ass extension as a .srt file?
I translated a subtitle file that was sent to me in English with a .srt extension, and when I save it, it automatically becomes .ass.
However, my contacts in the US are asking for a translated file with a .srt extension..

Thank you for your help, I hope I'm being clear…

try instead of choosing "save subtitles as..."
    to take "export subtitles" ..........

Hello, I'm looking for this solution to export as srt, but with the "file/export" path there is no "srt" option, just a list of styles like "karaoke."

Exactly, like insam, the same concern, just karaoke, scrolling transformation, tag cleaning, etc... but no srt

I answer myself as well as to insam: you just need to click the "export" option without choosing a style. It's true that it's hard to keep it simple when you're complicated by nature!
