Hello everyone.

Following several searches and manipulations, I have no sound on my television via the HDMI cable. I'm on Windows 8.1.
Here are the manipulations I performed.
Control Panel >>>>>Audio >>>>>SOUND >>>>>Manage Audio Devices.
Only my Realtek speakers appear.
The disabled and disconnected devices are checked.
I do not have the HDMI icon to choose the sound output.
Thank you for helping me, is there another manipulation to do?
My hard drive was changed last year.
Before that, it was working fine.
Were the drivers properly reinstalled?
I checked the drivers again via EasyDrivers… it doesn’t show anything anyway?
Maybe I didn't do it right?
Thank you all for your upcoming responses.
Raymond.

Hello,
Welcome to CCM.
It's great that you detailed the question, but you're missing the most important part!
What exactly is all this happening on?
Best regards.

Is there not another letter after the L, by any chance?
Check the label stuck under the PC, there should be the complete specifications of the computer.
Best regards.

Hello,

Press Windows + R
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

Do you have a section --> other devices?

What do you have in audio, video and game controllers?

What do you have in graphics cards?

Hello
Go to the sound settings and check the drop-down list. You should find the HDMI output option there.
I don't understand why Windows is no longer displaying it when you right-click on the sound icon at the bottom right of the desktop!

You are replying to kaneagle, whom you greet, that you do not have the Audio Video Game Controller (answer n°7) in the Device Manager, is that correct?
Regards.

If I correctly have the audio video controller, I found it in Windows + R devmgmt.msc

I'm talking about going into the settings, here:

There I see my HDMI output, but it doesn't appear when I right-click on the button at the bottom of the screen.
I had to enable it in the settings, and this problem has also occurred with a friend!

I haven't found anything in the sound settings regarding HDMI. I'm starting to wonder if this HDMI sound actually exists on my PC!!

Right-click on --> Intel sound for screen
Uninstall

Click on --> Action
Scan for hardware changes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, provide the hardware IDs for the Intel sound for screen and Intel HD Graphics family
Look at this --> Find a device's hardware ID
Post the IDs in your next message.

Sorry Kaneagle.
After unzipping and running, this driver is not valid for my PC
Never mind, I think I will give up..
And see a PC installer near my place.
Too bad, thanks again.
Best regards.

Not compatible either

The drivers provided are for 64 bits and it doesn't work.

Is the Windows 32 or 64 bits?

If it's 32 bits, try this one --> Intel

RADEN

it's a 64

Thanks again, but forget it, it might be an internal issue ..
Well, I'm just saying that, I'm not saying anything ......
I'm going to check out the computer assembly shop in my neighborhood
See you.
Thanks again.

Hello. Since I was looking for the solution to get HDMI sound on my Samsung TV,
I just saw some info on the CSM website.
You simply need to turn off the PC, then connect the HDMI cable while the TV is on and set to HDMI. Then, turn the PC back on, right-click on the sound icon at the bottom right of the screen, disable Intel sound, and set the TV as default; it works!!! Thanks to whoever provided the info!!!

Hello RADEN_0662,
No technical issues then!
I'm glad for you that you've resolved the problems; as for me, to be honest, I would never have suggested you carry out these manipulations. Like you, I'm discovering it, so it's good to know, and even better to have reported the information.
Best wishes.
