I5-1035G1 review request

Hello everyone.

I want to buy an ultrabook so I can easily take it anywhere. I mainly use classic sites (Twitch, YouTube, etc.) and I also play CSGO (I know it’s not great on an ultrabook, but it’s just for fun). I have a budget of about 1000 euros.

Here is my question: I appreciate the new Acer Swift 5 i5-1035G1 but I haven’t found many reviews... The CPU is at 1.0 GHz with a turbo of 3.6 GHz. What do you think of this processor?

Do you have any recommendations for laptops in my price range?

Thank you very much for your help, I’m having a hard time deciding right now...

Hello,

These are processors intended for ultrabooks and low-power laptops, with a light graphics part for basic usage.

For office work, even heavy tasks or photo editing, it will be sufficient, but for video editing or gaming, it can quickly become outdated.

That being said, for CS:GO, it's the graphics part that is likely to become outdated quickly.

Hello, I have this processor, and it can run games without any problem, like Minecraft with light shaders. There's no issue; it can run games at medium graphic quality. However, it will be unable to run last-generation games. For example, it handles Anno 2205 on higher quality without problems, but Anno 17000 will struggle to run normally with V-Sync turned off and with particle effects; it will run between 20 FPS and 45 FPS. Minecraft runs between 100 FPS, and shaders run between 45 to 70, and with shaders, it will run between 25 to 35 FPS. Also, be careful to cap the FPS at 30.
