Cancellation by the host on booking

Hello,
I would like to know what the refund options are through Booking if a property owner cancels my reservation?
Will I (the tenant) be able to get a refund? If so, will it be without fees?

I cannot find the refund conditions regarding this on Booking.

If I cannot be refunded or if there is no protection for tenants in this regard, I don't see what prevents any dishonest practice of listing a property for rent and systematically canceling all reservations without having to refund the tenants?

    If the reservation has been canceled by the owner, Booking will refund you since it is not your fault but the owner's.

      But I contacted Booking about this via chat and they did not answer my questions and remained evasive, so I never got a response to my question.
      And I also can't find any text or guarantee regarding the owners' cancellation?

      I am in this situation because of the coronavirus...
      Given the health conditions in the United Kingdom, it seems obvious that the landlord will not be able to maintain the service for which I paid, yet I have not heard from him and he is not responding to my messages, so I am at an impasse.
      I am afraid that the landlord will not cancel/refund on the pretext that I did not come for the reservation...

      When the owner cancels, they refund the amount x 2. It is not booking that has the right in France.

      No.

      Unless the contract states otherwise, this is only true outside of cases of force majeure and if it concerns a deposit, not an advance payment.

      In the latter case, the contract must explicitly state this; otherwise, without specifying the nature, the amounts paid are considered to be a deposit.
