Continue to use a PC via TeamViewer when the lid is closed.

Hello,

I have an old laptop running Windows 10, which I want to use as a "virtual machine server". It will host VMware Workstation Pro on which I will create VMs. After configuring the lid closure to "do nothing" and the power options to never, when I still close the lid, I cannot continue to control it remotely from my second PC.

Any ideas to solve this problem?

Both PCs are connected via RJ45 to my box, all on fiber optic 1Gbps.

    Hello,

But when you close the lid the PC shuts down, goes into sleep mode, ...?

To test, try disabling hibernation, run
    cmd
    as administrator and then:

    powercfg /h off

I also did that; in fact, with the hood open, the control works well, and once I close the hood, no more control is possible, the image freezes on what I was doing. It doesn't go into sleep mode because when I reopen the hood, it resumes without any problem. I feel like it goes into sleep mode even though I've done everything to prevent that from happening.

It might be TeamViewer, as the screen is cutting off, and he doesn't have anything either. It's still remote screen control. It's not like Remote Desktop (RDP, on Windows Pro), which is a remote session.
