Hello,
I have a problem with my editing software, which is Shotcut.
Yesterday, I started my first edit on this software and I realized that the sound is not working but the video is working.
If you have a solution, I’m all ears.
Thank you for your responses.
Have a good evening.

Hello,
Basically, whether you have sound or not when previewing your project in Shotcut won’t change anything about your exported video file if it has sound.
In the Shotcut graphical interface, there is a simple way to know if the file has audio or not. To the right of the preview window, you have the Audio meter, which are the two green "bars" that fluctuate. If you see them, it means that the file does indeed have audio.
To make the sound audible in the preview of your project, you need to click on the little speaker under the window to activate the volume since it is muted by default.
I made you a little screenshot of one of my test projects with some indications:
Finally, you need to read and watch tutorials to learn how to use this software. There’s no shortage of them on the Internet. For example, I started with this one: https://shotcut.org/howtos/getting-started/Premier_pas_avec_Shotcut.pdf
On the official site, you also have the FAQ or video tutorials that are in English...
Best regards

Hello and welcome as a new member
I don't use this software, but there are tutorials on YouTube to help you set up the audio properly

also test some music on your player to see if your sound card configuration is good

remember to mark your message as "resolved" if that is the case
