[GROUP SUBJECT] Opinion about Prestige Model Management agency?
Solvedbazfile Posted messages 58687 Registration date Status Modérateur, Contributeur sécurité Last intervention -
Hello,
I received a first confirmation email stating that I was accepted as a model and that to confirm the contract, I needed to call a number. However, I did some research online and realized that it wasn’t what I thought. I therefore did not respond to the email or call, and now I have just seen a new email specifying that I have 14 days to pay and call the mentioned number, and that they committed to paying half of the fees and charging me €60 instead of €120.
So I wanted to know if it's true that I need to pay within 14 days or not since I did not respond to their first email?
Thank you very much for your responses.

Hello.
Instead of constantly asking the same questions, you are requested to read what has already been said and reiterated.
Summary of what has already been said:
Do not respond to their possible follow-ups, all their threats are just empty threats, they have no legal means to act since Prestige Model Management is not operating legally.
IMPORTANT see this message.
READ CAREFULLY THIS PAGE.
One thing to remember:
real modeling agencies are free but their selection is strict, the rest is just nonsense because not everyone can become a model, we need to stop dreaming to avoid being taken advantage of by purveyors of dreams.
If you don't have a REAL contract, you can't be forced to pay.. Let them bray..
See you later
As always, everyone complains and no one does anything.
It often happens that a company contacts us to moderate certain comments it deems defamatory.
To prevent this inconvenience from happening again, we ask you to adhere to the guidelines and be particularly meticulous when drafting your discussions:
- no insulting terms (scammers, thieves, etc.)
- stick to your own experience and facts for which you have tangible evidence
- avoid value judgments and generalizations
- never post on a forum the identity or any other private data of a person without their consent.
These precautions help to maintain quality exchanges while limiting the risks of moderation and, for both you and us, the inconveniences of legal proceedings, and the potential closure of the forum due to a few thoughtless words used without consideration.

Humor is the keystone of consciousness.
I’m sharing my experience with you. I made the same mistake as you and tested an online modeling agency (just for fun). I ended up with this one. Being selected raised my suspicions. Then I came across your forum. (I should have checked, yes, it’s my first time doing something like this!) So, I wrote to them exercising my right of withdrawal (14-day distance selling).
They accepted it, but they are asking for a cancellation fee of €60.
Regarding the timeline, I even explained to them that I am within the 7 days and that no fee is due, and I directed them to the legislation.
They explained to me that checking certain boxes indicates acceptance of the contract, blah blah blah.
I simply replied that I am within my rights and that I want them to delete the 2 photos as well as my pseudo account.
They replied that I would receive a letter from their business lawyer (for €60 lol).
So I replied: no problem, my husband is a lawyer, let’s play.
No response after my last email.
In short, their practices are so illegal that I’m ready to harass them and push them to their limits.
I’ll keep you updated if I receive the famous letter.
Have a good day.
For my daughter, I received a letter from a debt collection agency from Austria! ..
My daughter retracted the next day, well within the 14-day period.
So we responded to the agency with exactly the same thing you said. But they persist and insist on demanding these fees. In short, they are applying pressure, saying that the file is still open (especially since we have no access to the profile as we haven’t paid anything.. Because you pay and you supposedly get an access code). I also wrote saying the same thing as you, as well as to the collection agency stating that we owe them nothing.
Contract (if that is even what it is) not paid.. So not validated. Retraction the next day.. So..
What makes me laugh is their fee of 49 euros, then a collection agency demands 79 euros (with their fees) and when we tell the model agency that we don’t owe them anything, they say to pay immediately 60 euros to close the profile! The more we try to tell them that we owe nothing, the more they are harassing.
I would be happy to know from those who have the same case, how this ends.. If it ends!!!
There you go.. Don't let them push you around.. (We should all file a group complaint for harassment and coercion.)
Best regards
Following the events. After asking them to cancel and them demanding cancellation fees blah blah blah (see my post above), I just received an email offering to sign the contract for 50% less, which is €60.????
I believe these are automated emails sent to: encourage payment, apply pressure. Because if they had reviewed previous exchanges, they wouldn't have sent me this. Anyway, I read it, laughed, and deleted it ☺️. To be continued ????
Have a great day.
I had the same thing happen to me.
I didn't pay anything. They sent me letters from Lowell. (Collection agency)
I went to see the police. They told me not to pay anything because then they would have my bank details.
They told me it would never go any further. And if by the biggest chance it went to the enforcement office, then I could file a complaint.
But that has never happened.
I was stressed out thinking it would go further and that I would be in trouble... Well, I still haven't paid anything since January 2020. And I still don't have any problems.
Relax, don't have nightmares anymore. Don't call the company and don't call Lowell.
Both are fakes.
Besides, I find it strange the number of spelling mistakes in the emails. And on top of that, the North African accent, with poor sound quality, combined with a hint of behavior and aggression... all of that smells like a scam.
Everything will be fine.
(If someone knows Sandoz and his videos on scams, please ask him to make a video about this scam! I can't get in touch with him. It would be good to protect others who might fall for it,... like us. Because believe me, the website is really well made!)
I spoke to a lady on the phone and she spoke very quickly and super harshly; I found that unusual, but I agreed to the terms as she asked me to.
I received the same email stating that I had to pay within 14 days, BUT DO NOT PAY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!!!
You need to cut all contact, don't respond, don't give them any news, and just leave them alone.
That's a piece of advice I'm giving you!!!!
Simply send them a cancellation letter before the 14 days, and they will no longer harass you; they have no right to demand cancellation fees.
However, you can sue them for harassment if you have terminated your contract before the 14 days and they continue to send emails for payment.
Mark their email as spam and throw away the letters
They insist because some pay under pressure because they know it works with some.
I would like to know at what point we are in a "contract" with them? Because I fell for their scams, I haven't paid anything, nor did I respond when I received the email saying that I was accepted... But because of this, I don't know if I am already in a contract with them? Thank you for your reply.
So I want to tell you that I fell for this scam (we can call it that) and the advice I would give to those who want to venture with them is not to expect a call, contract or anything in the world of modeling. They ask you to pay account management fees of €120, and then you don’t hear from them again (I even tried to contact them on Instagram but their account looks fake...). They are liars and I find it sad that many people are fooled so easily, and I'm even surprised that this company hasn't been sued yet for these thefts...
following my message on this forum dated 28/01, I am back with some information after consulting the police in Ixelles and my legal department.
This company is very likely a scam; it only displays a landline phone number on their contact page: 02/588 58 10. The lady who answered (very cold and dismissive) claims to be located on Avenue Louise, and when I insisted on knowing the number, she told me that there was no need to visit in person because applications are processed online. This gives me the impression that there is no registered agency on Avenue Louise or anywhere else in Brussels. However, there is an address in Vienna but we cannot find any information on the CEO or a legal address in Belgium or a VAT number.
The legal department reassures me that if the agency is fake, the lawyers are fake too, even if they seem professional on their website and in their threatening letters that can be ignored. Ultimately, we can send them a registered letter (if the agency really exists at the address in Vienna) to cancel the contract without fees (without the €49 they demand when we want to terminate) because they have failed to uphold their commitment during the first year, and that seems to be the case for all of us, apparently.
The police suggests filing a complaint for fraud/scam/cheating either at a police station of your choice, or at the station on rue du Collège 01 in Ixelles which is open every day.
Alternatively, fill out a 'non-urgent online declaration' form
You can also take other steps such as "Test-Achat" or "Les pigeons".
Indeed, this agency has fooled us; if each of us takes the time and effort to file a complaint, it will be them who will soon find themselves in a cage.
I found the address of this "agency": PRESTIGE BELGIQUE Avenue Louise 65, Box 11, Brussels, 1050. It is the building right next to the Steigenberger hotel.
This address belongs to a coworking space. I called and the receptionist had never heard of them... She then checked her system and it turns out they are indeed clients there... but she has never seen them physically and does not have a more direct contact number for them... I understand that they pay this coworking space for a mailing address, without office space or physical presence...
I checked with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises to see if this agency has a legal and registered activity in Belgium, but it requires the VAT number of this agency which is not mentioned, and likely does not exist.
The police of Ixelles has been informed...You know what you have to do..fill out a 'non-urgent online declaration' form via the "police on web" online site.
I also registered my daughter using her real name, first name, and postal address.
One day after reading all the comments, I sent a registered letter to terminate the contract, and now I find myself in a situation where they are asking me for money,
which I certainly will not give!
Is there a risk for the children considering that for the most part we provided names, first names, and addresses?
Thank you.
Don't you think it would be wise to report their site on the platform signal.conso.gouv.fr?
If each of us did it, maybe we could help others avoid getting scammed?
Best regards
Hello
I completely agree with you, we need to denounce this agency that scams people using harassment methods, and I see that they don't tire of asking for money, they are true sickos and psychopaths. We need to come together hand in hand and file a complaint before a competent court against this agency and this lowell whatever office. That way we will stop this hemorrhage and help others not to get scammed. Here is my WhatsApp number if anyone wants to get in touch with me:*****************. Thanks

It is strongly advised not to post personal information (email, phone etc.) on a public forum.
Hello, I signed up with this agency at the beginning of September. On the same day, I checked the reviews which impressed me, and I decided to stop responding to their emails. They have followed up with me at least three times to make me pay their 140 euros registration fee.
I decided to send them an email to retract everything.
Following that, they asked me to pay 49 euros for cancellation fees.
They sent me an email saying, and I quote, "If we do not receive your payment, we will be forced to engage our business lawyer."
This is very threatening and clearly pure harassment!
I have read almost all the comments, and I will therefore block them.
I just received a message from a debt collection company called INKASSODIRECT after I refused the payments I owed them...
What should I do? Have you experienced this kind of blackmail too? How did you react?
Have you read this topic?
No?
I invite you to do so: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-36490174-sujet-groupe-avis-agence-prestige-model-management
No signed contract = no obligation..
This In Kasse Direkt is just a friendly collection agency that is all talk.. They are not going to send Gestapo Müller to seize your belongings!!
If you have a Legal Insurance you can activate it to shut them up for good.
Otherwise, do not attempt to justify yourself (It excites them..).
Let them bleat..
See you later
PS: Moreover, even if there were a contract, it would probably be invalid (See Labor Code Article R7123-8)..
I had the same thing, I didn't even have time to ask questions directly. She tells me I don't have the right information, to modify it.
Boom, I receive a contract I didn't ask for or sign.
I'm not paying anything at all, I put it in junk mail. I called a physical modeling agency, and they told me they never ask for fees.
It's a scam!!
The Contract -if it exists- is null and void.. No commitment = no obligation!
LET IT BARK.. This thing uses intimidation and it seems to work.. If you show up, the
site will infer that you are starting to give in and it will increase the pressure!
See you!
Thank you.
Even though we signed the contract digitally by simply checking boxes which supposedly represent my signature, I don’t have to worry about that, right?
Because from the information I've gathered, "prestige" does exist and is indeed recognized as a company... and here they are threatening to forward my case to a lawyer because I signed and haven't paid anything...
I would like to hear from people who have also signed the contract and who just ignored it? See what happened in the long term?
Thank you.
1- Signing by merely checking boxes is bullshit. It's USELESS and void, you haven't SIGNED anything, OK?..
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signature_num%C3%A9rique
2- Seems to be in violation of Labor Code L7123-27.. So if there were a real Contract it would be null..
Read everything that's said about this company operating solely on bluff (little threats from Helmuth the supposed 'lawyer'..).
Catch you later.

have you signed a REAL contract?
If not, forget it. You owe nothing.
Moreover, if the competent court is in Austria, before they obtain an enforceable judgment in France for €60 of debt... the hens will have teeth.
Additionally, French law does not allow them to operate as a modeling agency on French soil, so no French court could follow up on an illegal agency in France. A modeling agency MUST obtain a legal license to operate as such.
Labor Code
Article R7123-8
Any person established on national territory engaging in the paid placement of models must hold a modeling agency license.
