Hello,
I really need your help. Since yesterday, I've been trying to install Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator on my Mac OS Catalina Version 10.15.3. During the software installation, the loading stops and shortly after I get an error message saying "Adobe Creative Cloud has unexpectedly quit."
It's a .dmg file, I don't know if that's related. My computer has no issues downloading other files... I don't understand.
I've tried to install it on another admin account apart from my main one, and I've also tried changing the search engine...
I'm open to any tips that could help me.
Thank you in advance.

Hello, these are Adobe files. I tried to contact them to inform them of the problem, but it doesn't seem to come from them.
Hello,
What is unclear in your message is that we don't know exactly when the problem occurs. There are differences between:
- downloading a .dmg file
- opening the .dmg file, that is to say "mounting" the disk image that has already been downloaded
- installing the application contained within this disk image.
So, problem
- to download the .dmg disk image?
- to mount this disk image?
- to use the installer contained in the disk image?
A problem can sometimes occur when downloading a .dmg file, but we don't know it until we try to use this file, and this .dmg file may still be corrupted. In that case, the solution is to download this disk image again.
But in any case, in case of difficulty during the installation of an application, it is good to ensure that the Mac system is OK, that there are no corrupted system files. So, start by repairing the disk after booting the Mac from its recovery partition:

Make sure you have enough available space for this installation, then try again. If you still encounter a failure, download a "new" .dmg file from a reliable link provided by Adobe.
Best regards.

Thank you for your response. When I click on the disk file, the application opens to install on my computer. But after a while, I get the error message: "Adobe Illustrator has unexpectedly quit."
And of course, the link is reliable since I bought the software from the Adobe website.
In any case, the Mac system is fine. I followed your advice and nothing seems off on my Mac.

It is possible that a preferences file (.plist file) in your personal library is corrupted, or that an active extension is causing issues.
Try one of these methods:
- Create a new user with Admin type on your Mac. This user will have a new preferences folder, thus empty. Log in as this new user and test the installation. If it works, you should then be able to use the application from your usual session.
- Start the Mac without extensions, meaning by starting it while holding down the Shift key. There will be some display oddities; this is normal and not a problem. Then attempt the installation...
