Hello,
I want to share a folder in my MEGA cloud with another person, without that person being able to modify or download the items in this folder.
I managed to share my folder with the person, but when they open the folder, all the folders inside are shown as "unencrypted folders" containing "unencrypted files," and it's impossible to read these files because a pop-up appears telling me "This file will be decrypted when the cryptographic key is available."
I understood that the cryptographic key can be obtained when I right-click on my folder and click on "Links," where there are three options: link without key / cryptographic key / link with key. I have the option to copy this crypto key, but my friend cannot find where to enter this key when I provide it to him. Do you have any idea how to unlock read-only access with this key?
I tried to send him the "link with key," but then he is able to download and modify the folders as he wishes... so that’s not what I’m looking for!
Could you please help me resolve my issue?
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Xim'Mam

I was storing with "Mega," when they implemented the key (which worked poorly), I switched to "Media Fire."
When you give access to anything (folder, file...etc), obviously the recipient can modify it (subject to license); where's the problem?
When it comes to an ".exe," you just need not to provide the source code.
