Hello,
I am currently editing a video project with iMovie version 10.1.8 on OS Sierra.
I am unable to change the duration of the transitions, which remains locked at 1s.
I am following the "official" procedure, which is to double click on the transition and then replace the duration of "1s" with "3", for example, but the response is:
"The clips do not have enough media data for modifying the transition duration."
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.
Configuration: Macintosh / Firefox 72.0

Hello,
Transitions use the images present between 2 sequences to take place.
In general, cameras record at 25 frames per second. Therefore, the number of images available on either side of the transition must be sufficient for the required duration.
In short, if the duration of the sequence before and after the transition is too short, the requested transition may not be possible.
