Does LED TV and PS4 Pro cause TV failure?

Hello,

I have a 3-year-old PS4 Pro and this is the second TV that has broken down in a one-and-a-half-month period, so I'm wondering if it's the PS4 that is causing the TVs to fail!?? (until these two breakdowns, there were no issues)

The PS4 is used every day for an average of 4 hours on weekdays, about 8 hours on Wednesdays, and 10 hours daily on weekends (I have 3 kids!!)

It all started with the living room TV (purchased 3 years ago), which broke down at the end of December, a Philips LED 55PUS6501 (which is still being repaired...) so I took the one from my bedroom to use in the living room, which is a Sony LED KDL46HX720BAEP (purchased in 2012).

Both TVs broke down in the same way! The screen began to show anomalies, bands, then went black with no sound, the front light blinks, and we can no longer put it in standby; nothing works via the remote control or the TV buttons.

Is it possible that the console could cause overheating of the TVs knowing that they are LED TVs?? Is it a problem of too much strain on the TV's graphics card, which could damage the LEDs, since for the first TV, the LED connector burned out? (confirmed by the repair technician who is waiting for the connector)

Thanks in advance for your experience if this has happened to you.

    Hello,

Maybe it's also the large number of devices plugged into the same outlet...?

The 2 TVs were plugged directly into the wall outlet, and the PS4 is on a surge protector.

Well, to close this post, I have confirmed that it was indeed the PS4 that fried my two TVs. A power surge at the HDMI port of the PS4 caused the TV breakdowns. It fried the panel plus the infrared...
And my TVs are irreparable since the panel part is no longer manufactured for both, plus another part for the oldest one... TVs at 1000 euros each... so the PS4 repairman strongly advised me to put an HDMI surge protector at the output of the PS4.

There you go, if that can help.
