Threat from FEDEX and Intrum

Hello, let me explain my problem.
About a year ago, I ordered car parts online.
They came from the USA.
Approximately 6 or 7 months after receiving the packages (3 in total), I got a letter from FedEx asking me to pay invoices for duties and taxes... totaling 252 euros!!!
Due to the notice and based on the comments I saw online, I ignored them.
A few reminders and then nothing.
Recently, I am now being contacted by Intrum, who is claiming the debt I owe to FedEx, plus additional handling fees and penalties... now totaling 374 euros!!!
An additional problem is that I had the delivery sent to my workplace, and instead of addressing the letters to my name, they are sending them to the company's name...
They are threatening to initiate legal proceedings and to hire a bailiff.
I'm really starting to worry and I don't know what to do, can you help me, advise me?

You are sending a check to FedEx for 252 euros.

Do not forget to inform Intrum that you have paid FedEx and that you no longer owe anything.
This will avoid you paying Intrum's fees... (which will continue to ask you for payment and to which you always respond that you have already paid FedEx)

Please include the references of your invoice with your payment so that FedEx can allocate it properly. Keep your payment receipts.

Your response is dangerous and misleading; these fees are not due under French law. No company has the right to charge CUSTOMS FEES after delivery. These must be explicitly paid before or at the time of delivery.
FedEx, Intrum, and others are parasites that take advantage of consumers' confusion and fear.

In reality, FEDEX has a DSP (Public Service Delegation) and is authorized to clear the goods imported by the Company..

FEDEX advances the amounts (VAT, parafiscal tax..) paid to the Tax Authority (and profits from it by adding its 'freight forwarding fees'..).

The recipient of the package is liable for this amount, regardless of whether it is claimed afterward. Only the 'freight forwarding fees' are contestable..

This is false, FedEx has no public service delegation and has no right to claim customs taxes, and even less so without the explicit agreement of the recipient.
