Hello, I've been having an issue with my PC for a while; it's been lagging. I've noticed that out of my 8 GB of RAM (2x4GB), I'm only using 3.95 GB. What can I do? I've tried pretty much all the methods I could find, like msconfig, changing the RAM sticks, etc., but I still only see 3.95 GB.

PC configuration
Motherboard MSI 970 Gaming
CPU AMD FX 8320E
GPU GeForce GTX 1660

Hello

Which version of Windows? 32 or 64 bits?

Best regards

Hello,

To exceed 4 GB of RAM, you need to be on 64-bit Windows
=> How to check if Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit.

If that is indeed the case:

Check in the task manager
performance tab
If you have significant physical memory.

If yes, refer to this link: Unlock reserved physical memory on Windows 10

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier; I appreciate your help, but I eventually figured out why my PC wasn't detecting the 8 GB of RAM. I was in single channel mode instead of dual channel in the BIOS, and now I have 7.95 GB available.
