Hello,

I have a Nintendo Switch 2019. In the settings for the Nintendo eShop, there are 2 options to choose from:
- Do not ask for the password
or
- Enter

I checked the option "Do not ask for the password" with the A button
but then nothing happens; I've clicked on + or other buttons except B because that is for back. When I click A again, the check disappears; if I click again, it stays on the same choice A. But when I click on the "Enter" option, it works, but I don't want to enter the password every time. Why does nothing happen when I click on option A "Do not ask for the password"? If I don't do this step, I can't access the Nintendo eShop. I don't understand! It seems so simple, but nothing happens. The choice A remains stuck! My internet connection is good because if I choose "Enter," it validates, but on the "Do not ask for the password" option, nothing happens, yet it is supposed to validate automatically, but nothing happens!

This is the first time I'm sending photos, I hope it works. I've never done YouTube. So, as you can see, I check "Do not ask for the password" but it doesn't validate, it stays stuck in orange! I suppose I can still buy games online but I would have liked to do it on the console too. It seems like it forces me to enter my password, I don't trust it!

For my first account, I chose to enter my password every time, but what's strange is that once I wanted to change my password, it was impossible to do because a page would appear saying "this page cannot be displayed because you do not have permission to access it"! I feel like there is a spy or spies on my console!
So I deleted my first account and created a new one, but at the "Nintendo eShop" step, it doesn't want to validate the "Do not ask for the password," it's weird! I find it suspicious...! It's as if someone wants my password; I know that if I enter my password, there is a keyboard and the password is encrypted/hide, but even that I don't trust because the keyboard still indicates where to enter the password. When I had my first account, since I had gone through the step of entering my password each time, I had access to the "eShop settings" to modify that I "don't want to enter" the password every time; everything was good. However, I still deleted my first account because I find it abnormal that I couldn't change my password, and I don't trust that you have to type your password on the Nintendo Switch's virtual keyboard.

And now, strangely, with my NEW ACCOUNT, the validation for checking "Do not ask for the password" does NOT want to validate! There is no question that I will choose "Enter" and type my password and then modify in the "eShop settings" to "Not enter" no, I will not go through that; I just want to choose "Do not ask for the password" directly. It’s poorly done; why is it blocking the validation of "Do not ask for the password"! It's frustrating, but I can still buy online, but it’s disappointing; I would have liked to access the eShop on my console. :(

Check with your first account in the settings.

Nintendo eShop > your avatar at the top right.
Let me know what you have, I think it might be a blockage, but I'm not sure.

I can't access my first account because I deleted it – permanently. I created a new account, but there is only one user, and I keep trying the "Do not ask for the password" validation from time to time, but nothing happens; it stays locked with the orange check. It's very strange! It should validate automatically. I'm really disappointed and frustrated. There must be a spy in my console...! Why would it be blocked? I have 2 options; one works, the other doesn't, as if I am being forced to choose (like no choice, you know) on "Enter," even though I don't want to choose that! It's weird…!

Hello,

I activated the option without any problem. Try a complete restart of the Nintendo Switch.

Normally, it's a web interface and it shouldn't cause any issues. If you can make a video and upload it to YouTube or take photos of the problem encountered.
