Hello,
I want to create a website for online fortune-telling. I tried to work for an audiotel site that I won’t name... unfortunately, the so-called fortune tellers, tarot readers, and mediums are nothing more than "talkers," which is exactly what the site's owners want, keeping the client engaged for as long as possible and leaving them in suspense to make them come back for more.
What I want is a serious website at an affordable price for everyone. There are two of us, one in the East of France and me in Brittany. What kind of site should I create? Is it really that simple to create your own site? I've heard about showcase websites (among others)... Honestly, I’m lost with technology... Thank you for your responses... Bea

I had a fortune teller who was bright, I went to see a medium but he was rather mediocre... well, it can't be worse than therapists, ethics aside.
I had made a website for a 'fortuna teller'. My site was good but I had a month of payment delay, it's as if the past interested him less than the future. I know my client had the means, he was making quite a bit of money talking on the phone and doing multiple voices: from the highest pitch to the lowest (like "I'll transfer you to my supervisor") being able to pretend to be 3 different people to keep the client/pigeon waiting (payment is by the minute) on the line and escalate the dramatic tension and the supposed competence of the fortune teller...
As long as people find their benefit... for a fee they have someone to talk to... but there are other ways to talk about oneself to others, however, you won't easily get the illusions provided by the fortune teller.
If it's serious and you're not a crook yourself, I recommend seeing one, schizophrenia and perception disorders are common illnesses (>1 per 1000) and it's better to diagnose these illnesses early.

Yes and no, it depends on the site and your personal investment. Learning to make a web page takes 20 minutes, creating a professional site is a job.
As indicated in previous answers, you have CMSs and/or courses aimed at beginners.

Yes and? By showcase site, we mean a basic presentation site. 99% of sites will not be static sites, allowing them to evolve over time and publish regular content (dynamic sites).

Everything is learnable when there’s a will! A lock is technology, you can open a door and turn a handle. No need to undervalue yourself but if you have no background in science and technology, you can start by learning a bit about the subject.
