Hello, :)
After formatting my PC by installing Windows 7, the clock on my PC is always incorrect. Every time I have to "adjust my PC's language to English" so:
Click on the clock => Change date and time settings... => Internet time => Change settings.. => Update now => Ok.
After that, the time is normal, but after about an hour it becomes incorrect...
I have already tried several solutions that I found on the internet, but none of them work.
Thanks in advance :D

Hello
the clock displayed on your desktop (widget) or in the taskbar DEPENDS DIRECTLY on the time set in the BIOS
the BIOS battery is precisely what keeps this information

so as mentioned above, replace the battery
the fact that you have been using the PC, formatting, etc., may have depleted an already weak battery, which is normal.

it's a small round and flat battery, which is easily found on a desktop PC, but more tricky on a laptop, as it is often inaccessible, hidden under the processor -> mandatory disassembly
on a desktop, it will be a battery of this type, depending on the motherboard brand
on a laptop it will be either the same type of battery or something that looks like this, with a connector
in any case, you need to have the exact model, so remove the used battery before buying the one that will fit in the PC.

Hello,

Thank you for this complete response, it's the clock in the taskbar and I have a laptop. I did a little research online and I think the battery in my PC is more like the one in the first image.

I had already taken my PC apart, but since it's old I'm afraid of making a mistake; I had already improperly disconnected something and now my touchpad doesn't work anymore.

Can I ignore it or will it cause me other problems and is it better to replace it?

Thanks :D
