Lithium battery puncture

Hello,
When trying to change my smartphone screen, I had to remove the battery, which was stuck with two strips of double-sided adhesive. However, they cracked, and I carefully tried to peel it off gently using some plastic picks.
But just as I was almost successful, a strange smell emanated, and upon closer inspection, I noticed that the protective film on the battery had torn by about 2 cm... Feeling uneasy, I looked online for the risks, and apparently, the strange smell is hydrogen fluoride. So, I took precautions and placed it in a ventilated area away from moisture.

But what should I do with this battery? Obviously not throw it in the trash, should I just use a simple collection box for used batteries? Or is there any additional precautions I should take?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Hello,

Take her outside to a place where she can't catch anything on fire or emit gases that you might breathe in, as for the gases, it's already too late since you've smelled it.

When you're sure she's sufficiently discharged, along with the hazardous waste.
