Logitech Z623: Crackling/Static Noises When Adjusting Volume
Unknow

Hello, my problem must have a multitude of possible causes, so I don't know which one to focus on in particular, so I'll try to summarize as much as possible.
- My speakers are in very good condition and deliver sound without any issues (except for the crackling when changing the volume on the potentiometer (Windows sound at around 85%/90%)...)
- My sound card is integrated into my Gigabyte B360 HD3 motherboard (it's very recent, so I don't think the issue comes from there), all the drivers on the PC are up to date, and the PC as well as the audio kit are maintained in terms of dust, etc., no problems on that front.
- Apart from the computer with the Ethernet cable, I have no devices connected around the computer, so there are no interference issues.
If you would like to know any other elements that might be missing for a possible analysis, feel free to ask for them, you never know...
This kit was already a replacement kit because the previous one (which was, therefore, a Z623..) had this issue as well, I returned it and used the warranty after 2 months, only to receive this kit with the same problems after 1/2 months..
Could you please shed some light on this topic for me?..
I really don't know where to turn to resolve this inconvenience.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello
"except for the crackling when changing the volume on the potentiometer"
Without really being able to check, but it's often the potentiometer; even new, there can be a manufacturing defect with the components. It's quite "common."
I've had the case with a 3.1 system; it was out of warranty, but every level change was the same. Unfortunately, I couldn't open it up, so I left it at 70% and manage the sound via Windows and keyboard shortcuts. No more problem.
Of course, if it's still under warranty, you can verify the hypothesis by connecting it to any other PC; if it happens, it's definitely the speakers. So, return it under warranty with a description of the tests to demonstrate that it's indeed their equipment and a possible refund request to buy something else.
best regards

Hello, thank you for your response.
Indeed, I think it is strongly related to that,
I will also mention something that might be interesting to take into account:
When I cut the power to the speakers (I turn them off using the power button), and I quickly turn the volume potentiometer from right to left for a few seconds, when I turn them back on they crack less, I don't know why that is, but it helps when I adjust the volume.. :/
Given that the speakers deliver good quality sound without issues, this problem doesn't really bother me, it's just being picky, but it's always good to know where this inconvenience might come from..
Thanks again for your feedback.
