Your iPhone is damaged

Hello,

I went on Safari for a search related to my studies, and when I accessed a website, a message saying "Your iPhone is damaged" appeared. I immediately closed the corresponding page. I wanted to know if this message is a fake or if I have a virus on my iPhone. As a precaution, I restored the software of my iPhone from iTunes. I'm not sure if that is enough. It's worth noting that I bought this iPhone second-hand and it was unlocked for all types of SIM cards.

Thank you in advance for your help,

      Good evening,

I downloaded the Astro VPN app as suggested by the message, but I uninstalled it immediately without opening it.
Did I take a risk or contract a virus on my iPhone?

      Thank you for your response.

If you notice no suspicious activity, then no. But as a general rule, the apps offered on the App Store are reviewed before being made available for download.
