Hello, I bought a Maxesla Mini USB WiFi adapter
I installed the CD but it doesn't pick up any network, there's an icon in the taskbar with a red cross, I've spent a lot of time trying to get it to work
but nothing works, even though it worked when I first installed it, but when my computer restarted it didn't work anymore
I'm on a desktop PC running Windows 7.

Hello,

Go to Start
In the Search bar
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

Provide the hardware identification number of the Maxesla Mini USB WiFi Adapter
Look at this --> Find a device's identification number
Post the number in your next message.

Is Windows 7 32 or 64 bits?

Hello, thank you for the response

Actually, I have two numbers
USB\VID_0BDA&PID_B812&REV_0210
The second one is
USB\VID_0BDA&PID_B812

Windows 7 on 64 bits

Problem solved, by looking carefully I went into Freebox OS and by changing the channels I got the network on the desktop PC, so I don't understand why it doesn't change channels automatically, if you have the solution... Thank you.

You can use the wifi radar to search for the least congested channels, but indeed the fbx does this automatically in theory.
Maybe there are interferences that it doesn't measure well; moreover, the congestion at the box level is not the same as at the PC level, especially if the latter is closer to neighboring networks.
