Not enough USB ports on the motherboard

Hello, I'm having an issue with my gaming PC setup. I've chosen the Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard and the Aerocool Cylon RGB ATX case. Before I go ahead and purchase everything, I decided to double-check if everything is compatible. Everything is compatible except I noticed that there aren't enough USB ports on the motherboard (inside where the front panel connections of the case are plugged in). I'm sending you the link to an image showing the case connections:

As you can see, on the USB 3.0 connector, there's another USB 2.0 cable coming out, resulting in 3 USB 2.0 ports for a motherboard that can only take 2. My questions are as follows:
Is it mandatory to connect the extra USB that comes out? If I don't connect it, will the USB 3.0 ports in the front still work?
Otherwise, do you know of a USB "splitter"? (I plug one USB into the motherboard, and at the end, there are 2 female USB ports, allowing me to connect all the USBs).
I hope I haven't bored you with this text.
Thank you in advance to everyone who can help me!

    Hello.

    In this kind? >>>

I didn’t find it at LDLC (surprising!)

For the fixation (I don’t see a hole) with good quality double-sided tape?

    See you later . . .
