Window that opens under the taskbar

Hello,
I have a problem that isn't very serious but is quite annoying. You see, I'm used to working with the taskbar at the top of the screen, the issue is that it often happens that when I open a program, it opens at the top of the screen and the top of the window ends up behind the taskbar, and I can't move it by grabbing the top because it's under the taskbar; I have to resize the window for it to shift and no longer overlap with the taskbar.
I don't know if we can choose the area of the screen where windows open by default; I tried auto-hiding the taskbar but that doesn't suit me. I just want the windows to open without the taskbar overlapping them.
Thank you for your help
Have a nice day
Manuel

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 74.0.3729.169

Hello, it's Windows 10.
Sorry, since I posted in the Windows 10 forum, I thought it was obvious :p

Hello....

Personally, I also have Windows 10, I prefer the taskbar at the bottom.... but I just tried moving it to the top, and the windows do not cover it.. the window is just below the taskbar for me
See you+

Hello, yes some windows open normally but for example Windows Media Player always opens with the top of the window under the taskbar.
Thank you for the contribution ;)

I just tried with WMP and the same as the other windows, the top of its fullscreen window stops just below the taskbar and without doing anything special....because in fact..... I've never tried it!
When the taskbar is at the bottom...same, the windows stop just above ...
See you!

Oh yes, in fullscreen it doesn't work, it's only when they are half size (I don't know what that's called).

In principle, the windows slide under the taskbar, regardless of their size, whether they are at the top or bottom...

That's what I would like to avoid, because when the BDT is at the top, the top of the window with the menus to close, minimize... gets hidden and you can't move it unless you change the size by putting the mouse at the edge of the window to resize it.

Hello, I have the same problem.
Windows 10 is up to date.
Some windows open and are hidden by the taskbar. I have already tried a lot of things by changing the taskbar settings and display settings, but nothing works... Any resolution advice?
Thanks in advance,

Hello

I had the same issue with Windows 10 (apparently updated in February 2021)
I went into the taskbar settings (right-click on the taskbar) and then I toggled "auto-hide the taskbar..." on and off

After a while, it returned to normal
